Went and tried Indoor skydiving today. Pretty cool, but ultimately it just made me want to go jump out of a plane for real

I did that a while ago. Fun stuff. And I am absolutely not the adventurous type

How much did it cost?

$85 total for two flights. Each flight was 60 seconds but they felt longer than that. A little overpriced but something I always wanted to try so its all good.

Yeah...that's not bad.  Skydiving is one of those things that I think looks really cool, but I can't see myself ever actually doing it, so this is the next best thing.

The Queen and I have Friday off.  I'm going to set up a sleigh ride in Vermont.  I think she'll love it.

We went on one in Durango a while back with the in-laws. It was a little too cold for the kids, which hampered the enjoyment a little bit.

The indoor thing I would try.  Jumping out of a plane (something my wife does pretty regularly, by the way) is not for me.  I have given Mrs. NoseHair strict instructions that she is NOT to tell me when she's going skydiving.  I don't want to fucking know about it ahead of time.  Call me anytime after your parachute opens, but before that, fuck off, I don't want to know about it.  :lol

I have a friend (former Army captain) who used to skydive pretty regularly.  He gave it up when he had kids.

I have no desire to go sky diving, but maybe that indoor place wouldn't be so bad.  I just don't like the feeling of dropping, like my stomach turns into knots.  But would you experience that at the indoor place or are you already kind of at terminal velocity in that scenario so you don't feel it?

I'd love to do a parachute jump :)

And if it didn't open - no biggie.

There's one of those indoor skydiving places about 15 minutes away from me. I always wanted to go but for some reason never have.

I also been interested in skydiving since early age, never done that either.

You're not actually falling so all you feel is the wind suspending you in mid-air.

I'll say. Funny that they call it a flight - although it makes more sense than the London Eye calling it a flight. It's a ferris wheel. And it's attached to the ground at all times.

It's nowhere near a flight. May as well call riding in a lift a flight - or walking up some stairs.

There was no feeling of dropping. Its was like swimming, but in air

I'm always sceptical of posthumous albums with "all new material!!" - like it's 100% a record company cash in with badly thrown together demoes.

There was that rumour from a few years ago that the "new" Michael Jackson album had a sound alike on it.

His Greeny Les Paul sounds so good on the most recent Metallica album.

It's definitely on the outro to Halo On Fire .

I like that Kirk paid a fortune for it - ( allegedly ) and it doesn't sit at his house in a glass case on display - he plays it live.

Joe Bonamassa allegedly has a security team JUST for his 1959 Les Pauls ( The year 1959. he doesn't own 1,959 Gibson Les Pauls AFAIK  ;D )

Which is right I reckon. They're supposed to be played. Plus Metallica probably have the best guitar techs in the business in case anything goes wrong.

Yes the solo at the end of Halo On Fire is definitely Greeny.

He always uses it live for that song.

Sleigh ride looks awesome!  Glad you guys had a great time doing it.  Back in the mid 90's a did a tandem skydive, 13,000 ft, 53 second free fall!  What a RUSH!  That moment when you go out the plane door.... :omg:............ :metal :metal :metal
