Same as I did in July - sittin 'round the pool, drinking, reading, working out, napping.  Generally just doing jack shit.  Will probably try to hike some trails with mrs.jingle a few times.  We've not taken the time to find anything around here.  There aren't that many hills that are easily accessible.

Was happy for my youngest son today because we learned that he made the travel hockey team with our club. He put a lot of time and work into getting better over the past few months so I’m happy to see him rewarded for the hard work.

I got a shout out from a famous studio drummer during a Drum Workshop YouTube session today.  That was pretty sweet!  Also, I sat behind my new drum kit and just played free for about an hour.  It was so therapeutic and much needed.  Will be doing that every day this week during my much needed staycation.

WMMH: friend offered to sell me his old place. Duplex. Roof less than a year old, new water heater, new furnace, new AC, wooden deck all out front that's only a few years old. Plus as an HVAC guy he redid all the ductwork and put a damn iPad in the wall to control it. New floors and cabinets too. 3 bedrooms, half basement, a nice average sized backyard. Back fence is the only thing that needs major repair. Only 55k.

This entire weekend.

Golf on Saturday with my college friends - masks, social distancing, etc.  I was proud of my friends for taking it seriously (it didn't hurt that I found out two of them actually HAD COVID earlier this year). 

Sunday spent in the yard doing hard work demolishing my old deck, in preparation for a new one;  the frame is good, so it was just removing the old slats, railing and steps.  The bear was that the wood was saturated with water (some of the boards you could squeeze the water out) and so all the nails pulled through the wood and stayed in the frame cross-beams.  But out in the sun and it was actually FUN.

Monday... not much.   Hung out and got the kiddo ready for school.   (See accompanying post in the "what irritated you" thread). 

It's September, so I'm late to the party, but I actually got a little color this weekend!

wow wtf, I'm not sure there's anything property or housing that costs that little around here.  If you can afford it, maybe not a bad idea.  I absolutely love having my own little house and piece of the world.

Haha, sometimes it pays to live in a rural town, the price of a home can be stupidly good. I'm 99% sure I'm gonna bite on it. It's too good a deal.

Dude you joke but I've literally said those exact words. Except it's a Legend of Zelda blanket and 2 flags each for Stratovarius and Helloween  The blankets serve as blackout curtains!
