Your (up to) 5 favourite Flower Kings instrumentals
« on: September 19, 2019, 09:47:21 AM »
Thought of this earlier, for a random poll. I've included all the studio-album instrumentals, even the interludes. If you don't like them/don't think they should be included, don't vote for them. Simple as. I've also included an "Other" option as I know the three bonus discs on A Kingdom of Colours II have quite a few instrumentals on them.

Very hard, but I picked:

Retropolis
Theme For A Hero (the most majestic melody ever in a FK song)
The Rainmaker
Poor Mr. Rain's Ordinary Guitar
Don Of The Universe

Leaving out Atomic Prince and Rumble Fish was brutal. If Hydrophonia/Self-titled tracks were included, Shipbuilding/Little Cottage By The Sea/Wreck Of The HMS Nemesis and The Pilgrim's Inn would probably replace 4 of these choices.

Also, Attack Of The Monster Briefcase is missing. That's a great one as is the Gardens Revisited/Shadowlands sequence

Oh yeah. Should have pointed that out. I left out the instrumental sections of Garden of Dreams as they are exactly that. This poll focuses on standalone instrumental tracks.

My votes:

Theme for a Hero
The Man Who Walked With Kings
Hudson River Siren's Call 1998
The Devil's Danceschool
Flight 999 Brimstone Air

I'd have to think about this, but as a side note, I never realized how many instrumentals The Flower Kings had...
aka Puppies_On_Acid
I peed next to Ian Mosley and Mark Kelly
Derek Sherinian probably stands 10 feet away from the urinal, shoots from downtown, and announces loudly that he's making history.
