Remote vocal recording
« on: September 10, 2019, 02:05:55 PM »
So I'm looking for some suggestions regarding remote recording of vocals. Our singer is not able to record his vocals for our project in our studio as he is travelling for work and put up in an apartment for the next little while. Much like MP records some of his vocal parts while traveling, we would like to try the same thing and share the needed WAV files via dropbox. He has a new laptop and I can lend him my Blue Usb vocal mic. I'm looking for a freeware program to help him record various takes to submixes of the songs. I use a free reaper program but that is way more than he needs or wants to use. Something simple with not many bells and whistles. Any suggestions?

Audacity? That's the most simple free DAW I can think of.
