Thanks all, fucking love you guys.


As those who are on FB may have seen, I had the joy of celebrating my birthday in the hospital with a gallbladder infection. Nothing says 50 like your body giving you the big ol FU. Anyhoo, they got shit stabilized and released me a few hours ago with an impending surgery next month. Happy birthday to me  :lol

You wanna talk about feeling the years? Today was the first time I felt the need to dole out my meds into a med tray by days just to keep them sorted. They sent me home with seven fucking scrips, on top of the four I already take. :getoffmylawn:

And pretty good chance I got all y'all beat with the pills, both in quantity and organization. Takes me a good half hour to load up a month's worth in the organizers. Not only do I have different AM and PM, I've got AM-odd and AM-even. Some stuff is every other day, and some stuff is 2 every 3 days.

Well with what they gave me today, which is just for the next month or so to keep the gallbladder under control till my surgery, I got 11 pills and 4 ointments. The ointments are the annoying ones cause there are different ones for different parts of the body, and some can only be used for a few days in a row then a break needs to be taken or they thin out the skin too much. Thankfully my psoriasis is to a point where I only have about 6 or 7 spots to put them on, when it was at its peak it was a good 40% of my body. That was a good half hour each morning and night just putting on ointments.
