It took Sacul ~28 hours to send since he announced his participation in this thread and it's not even 24 hours since I did, so I'd argue that I'm in fact not slower than Sacul. :biggrin:

It's pleasing that almost every semi finalist from my last two roulettes is back. Although the only person to reach the semi final in both was some jerk called Parama who doesn't even exist anymore.

Ok so we have 16 songs in, with just Tomi left who has said he's playing but not yet sent. Still going to give it until the deadline for anyone else who wants to join, and have asked LoCo (as another former semi finalist) if he'd like to join in again.

Once all submissions are in, I'll post some stats, but one interesting tid-bit: Lots of recent music and some older stuff, but NOTHING IN BETWEEN. There's an 18-year gap with no submissions (yet).

Actually, I am (and nice catch, BTW).  I think that is a great album, and will - given what she's done so far - will likely be considered her best album.   I think Wildest Dreams (which I think is only available as a bonus track on the deluxe edition) is one of the best pop songs ever written.   

She loses me a little bit with some of the more preachy stuff, but when she's pop sugar, I'm in.

Have updated the thread title to specify 5pm UK time for Friday's deadline (which is midday EDT - for any other timezones people can figure it out themselves :P). So definitely hangman and probably first impressions will be posted on Friday afternoon/evening depending on where in the world you are.

In the meantime, I'll post some stats about the 18 submissions so far, such as:

Number of submissions by time period

pre-2000: 3
2000-10:  0
2011-15:  3
2016-17:  4
2018:       5
2019:       3

EDIT: FYI As I get a feel for which ones are going through to Round 1, I'll be using the same breakdowns.

EDIT2: Updated to correct errors in my data. :P

Update on the 18 songs so far, based on my first couple of listens.

5 are safe and definitely going to round 1
8 are pretty strong after a couple of listens, and contenders for the other 5 spots
5 are not really interesting me so far and are unlikely to progress

By time period, these breakdown as follows:

pre-2000: 1 safe, 0 contenders, 2 unlikely
2011-15:  1 safe, 1 contender, 1 unlikely
2016-17:  2 safe, 2 contenders, 0 unlikely
2018:       1 safe, 3 contenders, 1 unlikely
2019:       0 safe, 2 contenders, 1 unlikely

Right, so it turns out I managed to make two errors in my data affecting three albums. :lol Good thing I'm an auditor.

I've updated the stats in my earlier posts and changed the date categories so each is 3-5 albums. I'll do this once we're into the main roulette as well: two groups of 3 and a group of 4 in each round. Might not always be by release date either.
