From a Mega Man Legends island jamming power metal to a Walrus listening to black metal, I like your story arc.

Not the best by any means, but one of my favorites has always been Edie by The Cult.

It's pretty darn good, though.  Ever hear the acoustic version?

Yes! I have it on my computer.

Hey Jude was supposed to be named after a real person but McCartney decided to be a dick and change the name

Ummm...huh?

I double checked to be sure this wasn't in green font.

McCartney wrote HJ on a car ride while visiting Cynthia and Julian Lennon after John and Cynthia separated.  Parts of the song were written for Julian, and it was initially titled "Hey Jules," but McCartney changed it because he thought "Jude" sounded a better.

I don't think any of these have been said yet...

Fur Elise by Beethoven

Cecilia by Simon & Garfunkel

Lola by the Kinks

Michelle and Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds by the Beatles

Billie Jean by Michael Jackson

Help Me, Rhonda by the Beach Boys

Come on Eileen by Dexy's Midnight Runners

Jennifer by Styx (not exactly a "best," but....)

Annie's Song by John Denver

Rio by Duran Duran (assuming "her name is Rio" is to be taken literally)

867-5309/Jenny by Tommy Tutone

Mustang Sally by Wilson Pickett

Rush - Tom Sawyer

Dream Theater - Eve (maybe a reach for "best," but it's a nice song)

Fleetwood Mac - Rhiannon

Kiss - Beth

Iron Maiden - Charlotte the Harlot

I feel like there are a couple other obvious ones that I'll remember as soon as I click "post."

At least you didn't say "Shandi".  I'm a die-hard Kiss fan and I DESPISE that song. :)

I'm right there with you - easily the worst song off of what is an otherwise underrated gem (in my humble opinion).

Funny, I actually don't HATE the song, it just fails in the context of Unmasked. If it was nestled somewhere in the middle of Paul's first solo disc, I think it would have worked way better.

That being said, it did give them some traction down under ;)

A few off the top of my head.

Crack The Skye - Mastodon
Face Of Melinda - Opeth
Ted The Mechanic - Deep Purple
Jana - Killing Joke
Roxanne (Live) - Lacey Sturm (I know it's a cover but this version is incredible)

John The Fisherman - Primus
Harold Of The Rocks - Primus
Jerry Was A Race Car Driver - Primus
Tommy The Cat - Primus

Plenty more where that came from. I left off the obvious Primus song as the ones listed are some of my favorites from them.

On that note, this may not be the best song for this topic, but it sure as hell have tilted a lot of anti-Blackhawks fans and players over the years (thankfully, not so recent, but the point still stands).  Chelsea Dagger.

Jeez, this just reminded me of this one:

Did anyone mention that yet?
