post punk is bands like the cure, talking heads, etc they're weird 80's rock bands mostly

it helps to know that post-hardcore isn't a real genre and about five different sounds are all grouped under the same genre label, btw
but what's thought of as "post-hardcore" most frequently is bands like brand new and glassjaw and the like (two bands who are not that similar)

Ranking this round might be a bit tricky. It's pretty much a 50/50 split between participants who sent two songs of roughly the same quality, and others who sent a song I liked, as well as a song I didn't really like.
