Well, this one comes in like a fucking meteor impact. Thankfully it’s got some quieter parts, otherwise it would just be exhausting.

i'm genuinely curious why you decided to send both parts of skepsis, in the context of the album i guess it's fine but pt. 1 is the weakest track on the album and pt. 2 is one of the strongest so

Something worth clarifying about the ranking swap perk: if a participant uses one and they were already ranked #1, they won't get any additional points, but if #2 also uses the ranking swap perk, #1's perk will cancel out #2's and they'll both stay at their original rankings. Will this come up in this round? We'll see

This also means that theoretically, if everyone remaining all used a ranking swap perk in the same round, nothing would happen.

It's your roulette, and you make the rules, but perhaps a "perk" of finishing first is that you don't get bumped down?  That if #2 guy uses it, there ends up being a Tie for the first place points?

Alternatively, cap the number of spots a person can drop?  So that if 8 people in a row use the ranking improvement, the guy finishing ahead of that list doesn't drop 8 places simply because he chose not to (or already had used) his ranking improvement.

Perks are cool; fairness is cooler.  It'd be hard to swallow if someone was in the position of giving the 3rd best song, but getting 10th place points.  Especially since anyone in the bottom half would be foolish NOT to use one of the perks this round, since elimination is looming.

Hey, I'm already resigned to getting the boots this or next round, I'm not trying to jockey for my preservation.  Just pointing out that the law of unintended consequences may rear its head, and the good intention of the perks ends up being .... not-so-good.

But as I led with, hosts make the rules, and I have no problem with that.  Just offering my thoughts and observations.
