What pissed you off today?

For what it's worth, I saw Steely Dan live at my favorite venue just before.Covid hit, and it was the most boring concert I've ever been to. They were playing so quietly, you could converse with the person next to you at a normal voice level. 

A week and a half later or so, I was gifted tickets to a Steely Dan cover band at the same venue. They were better in every category other than actually being Steely Dan.

That's because it was Steely Dan.

But I probably also wouldn't pay Eagles ticket prices because I liked the opening band.  If I didn't like the Eagles and didn't want to see them, I wouldn't get those tickets regardless of who their opener was, and I would go to the show even if they replaced the opener with Sheryl Crow.

I would probably show up late.

This is where I was at yesterday pre-Sheryl Crow takeover. There was no way in hell I was going to pay $250 to see an opening band (not a big Eagles guy myself) and was waiting for them to drop below $100 when the 'vid hit the Donald (presumably)

I like Steely Dan as much as the next guy, but they're famous for being a particularly boring live band. With one exception, every time they play down here the all people can say the next day is how boring they were. The exception was when they played with Elvis Costello and he was so terrible (and I like him too) he made SD look like Queen by comparison.

I don't hate Sheryl Crow, but I will say, my sister played her one album with All I Wanna Do all the time when she would drive me to high school that I really began to hate the album and Sheryl Crow  TBH, personally, if say I did have a ticket to such a show, I'd go see her set, but I don't see myself going out just to see her.
