I race MTB so, yeah. Got a huge 5-day race mid May in Pennsylvania called, Trans-Sylvania MTB Epic.

I'm also planning on doing the "BC Bike Race" in British Columbia next year.

I'm also planning on doing the "BC Bike Race" in British Columbia next year.

Nice! I'm planning to do the BC race, too, but probably not until 2021. Mrs.Shredder and I recently added some small children to the family, so travelling is challenging. Travelling for a week is out of the question.

 Are you US or canada based?

Near Toronto Canada. No mountains here, but plenty of XC stuff. The scene is huge here.

Aside from travel/time spent, these big races are expensive as heck!

Similar situation here.  I'm in Edmonton,  so it's about 4 hours to the mountains but we have a river valley system in the city with a solid hundred km of singletrack. It's definitely xc style riding,  so you have to really work before you can enjoy the downhill sections. Not for the faint of heart. Literally.
