ATTWS is shorter, but I bet it's far more epic (definitely more epic than the Agalloch at least, 'cause I know that song). Of course, I was convinced last round Pup or myself would take first place, and look how that turned out.  I'm confident though!

Asking for 'epic' on a Dream Theater music board is basically asking for long songs, to be fair. (My album roulette... dear god. I lost count of how many 10+ minute songs I sat through. Most of them not that good. Karmakanic and Frost* were always awesome though.)

I thought about some shorter epic songs, but again, go big or go home.

Good point. If someone asked me to play something "epic" for them, I'd probably go for A Change of Seasons (if they don't know it) before going for anything shorter.

I could have sent any one of three songs and they would have been 5:48, 5:50, and 7:39.  I'm not at all convinced that "length" is necessary for "epic".

My song is inspired by the Iliad and the Aeneid and is basically a narration of the fall of Troy through Helen's perspective. That's epic as shit.
