ATTWS is shorter, but I bet it's far more epic (definitely more epic than the Agalloch at least, 'cause I know that song). Of course, I was convinced last round Pup or myself would take first place, and look how that turned out.

Asking for 'epic' on a Dream Theater music board is basically asking for long songs, to be fair. (My album roulette... dear god. I lost count of how many 10+ minute songs I sat through. Most of them not that good. Karmakanic and Frost* were always awesome though.)

I thought about some shorter epic songs, but again, go big or go home.

Good point. If someone asked me to play something "epic" for them, I'd probably go for A Change of Seasons (if they don't know it) before going for anything shorter.

See I understand that just because a song is long, doesn't mean it is going to be epic. Fortunately that Moonsorrow song is epic in every way. Not that Parama and Kattelox would agree with that........but they are wrong

I could have sent any one of three songs and they would have been 5:48, 5:50, and 7:39. I'm not at all convinced that "length" is necessary for "epic".

My song is inspired by the Iliad and the Aeneid and is basically a narration of the fall of Troy through Helen's perspective. That's epic as shit.
