Hill Farmstead in VT makes great pilsners Rumbo.  They don't distribute so you'd have to go for a trip but let me tell you the ride down the dirt road to it is stunning.

Connecticut alone has over 100 (breweries, not beers).

I for one am loving the development, because those places usually try to make much more inviting environments than the traditional, British-style dark holes in the wall that dominated New England. Those microbreweries often have outdoor seating and food trucks.

There certainly is a beer craze in the US with microbreweries and IPAs.  I like that this is a Pilsner, I'd try it out.  Also, it is worth noting that many many bands are coming out with their own official beers, it's not just the Iron Maiden types.  Lots of smaller DT level bands are doing it.  It it a bit odd considering they have the AA suite, but it's not that big of a deal.  Metallica is mostly sober I believe yet they just released a Metallica Whiskey.  Plus you have Game of Thrones inspired beers and whiskeys.  This is just another promotional thing and like I said, I'd try it out.  Would be cool if they had it on tap at concerts.

Yea, I am kind of with you, only kind of because there is beer I do like at these places, but IPAs are harder for me to find that I really enjoy, or that I can drink more than one or two of and not feel shitty.  The environments at these places are awesome and I do love getting flights to try things out.

Yeah, I wouldn't read much into this beer promotion, it's pretty obvious that they just put a custom label on their "Imposter" beer.

What they do is Work with the brewer of the brewery. They talk with what type of beer they want and how He/JP/DT want it to taste. After the brewer does his thing, its time for tasting. It goes on until the brewer gets close or exactly to what the collaborator wants.

I don't really care for The Trooper, Iron Maidens beer. I have yet to try Metallicas and the others like Opeth and In Flames.

I figured they just found the lowest bidding brewery and slapped their name on whatever one of their beers was selling the worst.
