Every time I think about choosing one, it hurts so much that I start to choose the other...but then that hurts so I switch back.

GAAAAHHHHHHH

Maybe I need to sleep on it and vote in the morning.

Easily Breaking All Illusions. IT is too long and disjointed. It's a great song, and the finale is glorious, but Breaking All Illusion is basically perfect. It helps that the song "studied" at Learning to Live's Academy  :D
I use my sig to pimp some bands from Italy! Check out Elvenking (Power / Folk metal), Folkstone (Rock / Medieval metal), Arcana Opera (Gothic/Noir/Heavy metal) and the beautiful voice of Elisa!

Both songs are great, but BAI is truly special.

Easily the 2 best songs of the Mangini era, but Breaking All Illusions just shades it for me.

Both awesome songs, but it's not a hard choice for BAI

This is a toughie...probably the two best songs of the Mangini era.  Gonna have to think about this one.

The results so far clearly indicate which is the superior song by far.  BAI is brilliantly arranged and executed.  IT is, umm...well...nevermind.

Illumination Theory, but there's certainly nothing wrong with BAI.
Hef is right on all things. Except for when I disagree with him. In which case he's probably still right.

IT is very weak as far as DT’s epics go and basically quite a mess. BAI on the other hand is a modern classic. Very easy pick.
Hey dude slow the fuck down so we can finish together at the same time.

If this was the match of the week then most of the rounds this time must have been especially lopsided lol

It's the Match of the Week on paper, as it's arguably the favorite songs from consecutive albums. However, each time they've met in this format, BAI wrecks IT.

In hindsight, perhaps I should have chosen Surrounded vs. The Mirror. That ended in a 19-19 draw.

I'd argue that The Bigger Picture is more highly regarded than Illumination Theory.

Breaking All Illusions is far and away the best song of the Mangini era.

Yep.

Not only that, it's the best song since SDOIT.
