I voted Top 10. If you had asked me 7-10 years ago, I would have definitely said Top 5, if not Top 3. I was WAY more into DT back then, though they are still my Number 2 Favorite Band Of All Time™. I just haven't been listening to them as much in the last 7-10 years or so. After DT12 came out, I really discovered more bands that take up more of my listening time, like Big Big Train and Haken, and others that just get more play like SB/Neal Morse stuff, anything with Andy Tillison and Jonas Reingold.

However, my favorite DT album, SDOIT, is still really high up there, and definitely still in my top 10, if I had to struggle to rank my favorites. I'm sure the likes of SFAM would be in the Top 20 as well, so among the hundreds of albums I own and listen to, there's at least a couple DT albums up there!

Top 10. The top 4 are locked in and will almost certainly never change but positions 5-10 switch places depending on my mood. Right now it's this:

1. Wish You Were Here (Pink Floyd)
2. Animals (Pink Floyd)
3. The Wall (Pink Floyd)
4. Dark Side of the Moon (Pink Floyd)
5. Lift Your Skinny Fists Like Antennas To Heaven (Godspeed You Black Emperor)
6. Scenes From A Memory (Dream Theater)
7. Love Over Gold (Dire Straits)
8. Either/Or (Elliott Smith)
9. Venus Isle (Eric Johnson)
10. Lateralus (Tool)

Hmmm, looks like someone likes him a little Pink Floyd. ;)

Honestly though, they'd probably have 3 in my top 10 as well:

Dark Side of the Moon (Pink Floyd)
The Wall (Pink Floyd)
Power Windows (Rush)
Moving Pictures (Rush)
Lightbulb Sun (Porcupine Tree)
In Rainbows (Radiohead)
Awake (Dream Theater)
Bridge Across Forever (Transatlantic)
The Similitude of a Dream (Neal Morse Band)
Wish You Were Here (Pink Floyd)

There are probably days where a few other albums might take that last spot over Wish You Were Here, but it's close.

My favorite from DT continues to flop between 6DOIT and SFAM these days it seems, and for different reasons.

I'm not sure either would make it into my top 50, but they'd both be in the top 100 for sure.

Awake.

I'm not the kind of guy who can say "this is my #1 and this is my #2", and when it's cross-genre it's even harder, but ... it's a candidate to #1, for sure.

Top 10 albums:

1: Opeth - Blackwater Park
2: Yes - Close to The Edge
3. Devin Townsend - Terria
4. Devin Townsend - Synchestra
5. Dream Theater - Six Degrees
6. Genesis - Selling England by The Pound
7. Dream Theater - Awake
8. Genesis - A Trick of The Tail
9. Opeth: Watershed
10. Yes - The Yes Album

Curiously, my top 10 has two albums by five different bands.
