Dream Theater the League - 2019

Here we go ladies and gentlemen!

I usually have the "Match of the Week" at the end of the week. But when I was generating the schedule, and saw this matchup was slotted for week one, I just had to put it first. Anyone familiar with the league knows the battles that these two songs have had, and even if you're new to the league, you know how epic both of these songs are.

This was Octavarium’s first loss in the League since 2013.

Oh wow! The vote swung both ways several times in the last few hours. When I posted with 5 hours left, LTL was leading by 20-19. Then a few hours later I checked and Octavarium was leading 21-20, so to see this final result is incredible!

This is Octavarium's first ever loss in the regular season of DT The League. Its 2013 loss came in the Semi-Finals of that season's championship tournament. The mighty Octavarium is mortal after all.

Thanks random match generator (and DoC) for giving us such a remarkable heavyweight clash to open the League.
