I must be the secretary for Don Draper.   John Fucking Payne scored higher than Jimmy Page and Paul Rodgers combined.  :)

I'm kidding.   Though I am surprised by the Star One; not that I disagree with it but I would've thought that was a slam dunk.  I even checked the list as I assumed it was already banned.

If I was giving actual scores, The Firm and Asia would've been tied. But I had to make a decision for the stack. I really went back and forth.

Frankly, I'm surprised I enjoyed The Firm as much as I did.

When I was writing the OP, I distinctly remember thinking that some wanker is going to send me Midnight Moonlight for one of the rounds. I even almost posted in the OP that I better not get it. :lol
You might remember in my PM back to you that I made a comment about The Firm.

Honestly, that's the only song that I remember being decent by them. I thought they really did blow. I actually had tix to see them twice and never made it. I think they cancelled in '85, and the following year, they were coming to Providence on a Friday night. Except I can home way too late from the Aerosmith show three nights earlier, and my father told me I couldn't go to The Firm.

As far as the Asia, I enjoyed it. Reminded me a bit of Pink Floyd. Yeah, it's not the classic lineup, and I can't believe they even called themselves Asia. But I consider "classic" Asia to be one of the all time biggest musical wastes of time.
would have thought the same thing but seeing the OP was TAC i immediately thought Maiden or DT related

Nice  :metal

Flying In A Blue Dream is the only Satriani record with vocals. And on most songs they don't work, because Satch isn't really a good singer. But this one song just totally rocks and his vocal lines lay the ground for some ripping guitar solos.

Good thing that Lethean sent that Star One song first, that would have been my choice. And seriously that song should be much higher.  :o ::)
Must've been Kwyji sending all the wrong songs.   ;D

Not sure where I'd put it in the stack. 5-2 were basically even, and like I said above, they'd probably get the same score.

To be honest I was expecting a better score for kardashev, but at least you enjoyed it somewhat.

It started out high, but as some songs are growers, some are droppers. The second half was really great though.

Correct on mine. If anyone's curious, the other (banned) song was Pantommind - Moon Horizon.

Yeah, that was my bad.

Indiscipline, check this song out. It's pretty cool. It was on an early draft for your EP round. Actually, I cut it fairly late I the process.

I'm not a big symphonic metal guy. At all. And the Beethoven thing was way overkill.

But I liked the power metal stuff in it, and as I said, it reminded me of Heavenly, who I love their first three albums.
