Imagine the chaos if this police department was defunded!

The Everett Police Department (EDP) is installing a Shopping Cart Recovery Program to roll away and remove abandoned shopping carts on city streets that are becoming a nuisance.

Calling it a "Recovery Program" makes it sound like it is a 12 step support group.

Can't trust managers to put a priority on shagging carriages. Or at least monitor the kids out there.  Why?  It's not a money maker.  Tim will still tell you it's on grocery stores to get the carts but they can't be trusted.

This sucks.  I discovered that someone charged $235.00 to Clark Atlanta University to my debit card. So I had to call my bank's customer service, they told me that they will sort that out and get me a new card. In the meanwhile, I am cardless for the next 10 days. Fun....

I can still withdraw funds from my local bank if I show them my account number and ID, right?

Seems like a lot of assumption.  I'll give Tim a break on this if that lot is a mess with the carts though (he might have already mentioned this) although if that's the case, I'd blame management more so than the kids.

You don't have a credit card to hold you over?  I lost my credit card at the 311 concert a couple weekends ago.  I was glad to see no charges were on it and I got a replacement quickly, but luckily I have a few cards to pull from in case of such situations.  Also for international, it's good to have both a Visa and Mastercard because it's hit or miss what card places take (if at all).   Also, for me, I earn so much rewards from the credit cards that there's almost no reason ever to pay cash or use a debit card.

This will sound embarrassing to say, but I have never used a credit card ever.  Don't know how it works when it comes to interest and whatnot and, to me, it seems a bit intimidating what moves I need to make so that I don't get played at all when it comes to interest rate (I have good credit score though, mainly due to paying off my car in the last four years).

Although, after seeing that fraud charge on my account, I am thinking more about looking into getting a credit card and see what kind of perks is out there that intrigues me.

There's nothing intimidating about a credit card other than your own mind set if you think it means free money.  Pay your bill every month and there's no interest so you end up ahead in the end with the perks.  If you think you can't control yourself then it honestly may be best to still get one for emergencies but not use it.  Having one is good for your credit score assuming you pay it or don't use it too because it increases your credit to debt ratio.
