In the wake of the pandemic, my company, which deals almost exclusively with non-profits for fundraising marketing, has experienced almost unbelievable growth in the wake of COVID. With many non-profits unable to conduct their typical in-person and public fundraising events, their foci have shifted almost exclusively on direct marketing, and we have had 6 of our biggest clients increase their marketing buys anywhere from 300-500%, which has resulted in ridiculous year over year growth for us. We moved remote in March, with only essential warehouse and production floor personnel working in reduced, staggered shifts, and essential shared services employees on divided days. While the office officially "reopened" back in July, the company has embraced all remote work and we have all been given the option to remain remote as long as we feel it appropriate. We've gone on a hiring spree, as my company, and the parent organization, has increased investments in all areas, including extra custodial staff, increased wages for cleaning staff, and new and burgeoning positions.
Two weeks ago in our company town hall, the president announced that there are discussions taking place to increase benefits packages in the wake of our growth, and stressed to everyone that job security is real and no one's role will be diminished in any way. My one-year is next week. It feels like forever and yesterday.
