We have a walk in freezer that has no emergency opening button on the inside. It's just metal and foam insulation and a big indentation where it used to be. The coolers have one, so if it shuts all the way while we are working inside, we can push on the button and lean heavily on the door and it will open. The freezer, there's no way out. And while in there, it's like a huge farraday cage and all cellphones lose service, and it's really hard to hear, say, ME banging on it to be let out.

Is that a violation?

Just read in the news, Grant Imahara died from brain aneurysm. He was 49.

I watched Mythbusters a lot growing up, and damn, this hit hard. RIP.

Yeah, this one bums me out for sure. I was in a weird teenage phase when Mythbusters came out, and that bunch really helped get me interested in a lot of the hobbies I have and skills I've developed over the years. That lead me to seek local clubs around those topics and actually socialize for the first time in my life. I met Grant twice through the FIRST robotics program when I was in high school (super friendly guy), and he had a regular presence in the Battlebots community (he used to compete back in the Comedy Central days and has been a judge).

I was thinking about it a lot on my morning walk this morning. A brain aneurysm sounds like one of the worst and also one of the best ways to go. It sucks that it's so sudden, and you have no time to prepare anything before you check out, and you could be doing literally anything when it happens. But on the other hand, it seems really quick and painless, almost like you might not even suspect anything is wrong before you turn off. No fear. No anxiety. No elevated heart rate, moments of terror, or crying your last words of "am I going to die" to some EMT. No hospitals, no drawn out treatments or hardship on your family.....

Really sad news. Brain aneurysms are frightening, my neighbor passed away suddenly of one a few years ago and she was in her 20's.

In any event, this is sad to me. I'm a huge Mythbusters fan (they filmed a lot of stuff at a site I helped clean up environmentally back in the day, though that was well before them and I never met them or anything like that).

One of the few shows where I liked ALL the people on there. It saddened me later to find out that Adam and Jamie weren't best buds sittin' round pounding beers thinking up the next crazy stunt to test. They were also one of the few reality shows that didn't go overboard on pushing the "personalities"; they stuck to the format.

Definitely used to enjoy Mythbusters, but outside of that, I was not very familiar with the guy at all. RIP, that sucks being not even 50. So much death this year.

I listened to the Wingers 3rd album “Pull”, and I think it is very good. Great musicianship and songs, especially from a hair metal band. Not something I would write on my tombstone, but your avatar made me think of it.

I think we just enjoy each other's internet company more so than loyal, but this community has yet to be replicated in any similarity as far as I've experienced. Welcome back

Not sure where to put this, but...

I had to drop off a car for service today, and was lucky enough to get a loaner. So I have no CDs, the radio station it's tuned to sucks, and I'm not going to connect my phone for a 20 minute drive, so I checked to see if Sirius was hooked up. It was not. But... and here's the point: I listened to the repeating "ad" channel for Sirius for the entire way home and was entertained. I learned about four or five new channels that I want to check out. I finally drove in the driveway and thought to myself, "I just listened to 20 minutes of 'ad'." Then I thought, "I need to post this".

Regarding Sirius... when I bought my car it came with a 90 day free trial. I didn't sign up for it. But yet when I scroll through the audio options via the steering wheel buttons, it still goes AM-FM-BT-Sirius Ad Channel. Go the f*#( away Sirius Ad Channel. I know it is an option in my car. It should not be part of the audio scroll.

I drove my Toyota Corolla from November 07 to March 2020. Finally bought a truck, a 2020 GMC Canyon. J have all the toys. I'm loving it.
