I just looked at my post history - I can "modify" any of my posts today, but the post I made last night at 11pm, no Modify button.

Yeah, that was weird. I saw my yesterday's post where the hyperlink didn't work, wanted to fix it and couldn't find the modify button. Thought I was going crazy for a moment. :lol

I noticed today that if I hit the quote button on a post (Like I did here) it only picks up the response in the quotes, not the quote you also quoted (so not Jingle's post, just Everminds).  So right now, I can't make a quote chain basically.

OMG you're right.  This didn't capture Everminds post either.

This year I pretty much stopped drinking to help lose some weight (down 12 pounds since Jan!) so last night at the Vai/Satriani show I decided to uber and indulge a bit. Well 5 beers over the course of 7 hours has laid up today. This hangover is something else.

I always sort of though that idea of "tolerance" was a myth, but it's not.  I'm with you, though; I didn't consciously "stop", but for whatever reason, I can count the number of drinks I've had since New Year's on one hand.  I'm going to have to practice before the upcoming Dream Theater gigs... :) :) :) :)

Yeah, I had to stop at the turn of last year due to my liver being fucked (NOT due to drinking BTW). I mean, I can have a beer, but I can't drink like I did. I think in the calendar year 2023, I had maybe 20 beers. I've had ONE beer in 2024 when my son turned 21.

I'm very bummed because when I do have a beer, I can taste the alcohol so strongly. i used to drink Moosehead like water, and I had one on Christmas Eve and eeww. So I haven't even enjoyed the few beers I've had.

Yep, it's funny how your tastes change and tolerance changes.  In my late teens/early 20's I could put away a fuckload of alcohol.  I've been off alcohol for many years now but if I do have a drink if we go out to dinner, even one fucking drink, I can start to feel some slight effects, it's crazy.  Two drinks and I'd feel fucked the whole next day even though I wasn't drunk.

I rarely drink anymore, THC involves a lot less calories and helps with my high levels of anxiety, instead of drowning them in alcohol.

My two reasons for stopping drinking altogether was health/physical performance/calorie consumption and cost.  There's no way I can justify the cost of booze these days.

Stopped drinking two years ago as of March 27th. For no reason other than I just didn’t want to drink anymore. Nowadays Liquid Death is my go-to.

Is that the water in a can? Is it that good?
