I just don't post on FB.  I follow, and make a few comments a month here-and-there, but it's mostly to take in information for me.

I use it mainly to hang around in discussion groups, I've made quite a few acquaintances there over the years. And my family have a closed group where we organize family gatherings and stuff. It's great!

I'm probably making out to be a bigger deal than it actually is... But honestly most of the times when I have taken chances with a job, Its turned to shit... So I'm taking every victory I can take. I don't know if I'll eventually move up into higher weight classes (I'm pretty sure anything higher than I have right now requires a CDL), but it's an option in the future.


Also... My company is looking to promote within for dispatch trainees. I'm torn on whether or not I want to put my hat in the ring or not for it. I know that if I ask, I'll likely get it unless there's a bunch of people with more seniority who also want it. I think it's only a small pay bump on top of the raise I'll be getting for getting DOT certified... And dispatchers still drive routes at least 1 day a week depending on the need, but I don't know if I'll want to spend 8-13 hours a day sitting on my ass yet. I'm enjoying being on the road, especially since I've been on rural areas with so much less stress (not to mention I fucking love pushing these anemic Ford Transits to their limits. It's fun!).

I get along well enough with the dispatch team, and I know I'm going to eventually wind up there, but I just don't know if I want to do it yet.

Look, given where I live, I could give a rats ass which we keep (DST or ST), just do away with one of them.  I can see how some wouldn't want DST though.  I remember when I asked a colleague of mine in AZ why they don't switch the clocks, the response was "who the hell wants another hour of daylight in the desert!?!?"   

My question is, for the places that don't recognize DST today, are they going to shift their timezone?  Like, AZ is currently MST.  So, without DST, do they switch to become PST?
