There was a time when I thought anyone over 50 was ancient. Isn't that so fucked? It couldn't be further from the truth.

I think everyone thinks that way in their younger days. Can't say I've really thought that, but maybe I have, dunno. I've always gotten on much better with people older than me though. Always somewhat struggled relating to people my own age and younger most of the time.

It's funny you mention that though, it makes me think of the kids at work. One had a 21st birthday the other day and was complaining how old they are getting. Another one just turned 24 and was getting stripped down by the others on 'how much of an old man he was turning into and how ancient he is now.' Even he was like 'yeah, sure feeling the age now.' I told him to fuck off haha!

But yeah, lots of love to you guys. Losing someone is hard enough but losing them at that age just seems criminal.

We're doing a "sunflower festival" next Saturday. Although it's "making the wifey happy", it's also fun for me. I really have cherished being outside this summer for some reason. I went golfing this last Saturday (I'm not a big golfer; that's the first time since last September) and my partner kept apologizing for not playing his best game and I just kept saying "hey, I'm not inside, I'm not at a computer, I'm not painting." It was just nice to be in the sun breathing fresh air.
