I went into work today, it is nice to get back in.  Kind of weird saying and feeling that, but I hear ya, it's nice to get out of the house and be productive somewhere else for a bit.  BUT, like I said, you got a job and a paycheck, can't really ask more than that right now.  If being stuck at home for 95% of the time is the biggest complaint, then we are doing OK.

We live in a tiny ass space. I either force her to listen my shit (which she has no interest in), or I sit next to her with headphones on, which I'm not a fan of.

I just want some time solo where I can laugh like an idiot at the stupid shit I listen to, and not feel like I'm being judged / watched.


My 1.5 - 2 hour commute was perfect a while back, and then my 20 min commute + 40 min lunch was okay. Now I have 20 minutes every 3 days alone lol

I just don't understand what they were trying to achieve with any part of the song, either individually or as a whole. You know what? It's the Platypus of Dream Theater songs. That bill doesn't go with that tail, or that strange little furry body, or those webbed feet, and oh god why does it have venomous spurs!? And then you find out it lays eggs too. The difference is that the Platypus is somehow functional despite being a crazy mishmash or leftover animal pieces

20 minutes every three days?  I see a lot of other problems with that more important than a "podcast".  Unless that's what the kids are calling it these days.

I just bought a (used; it's a 2013) 535xi with the M-trim (but not the M Sports Package).  I know that's lame - the trim and not the guts; you really want the other way around - but it was a steal and a half.  I got a really good deal, so, beggars, choosers... plus it turned out that with my kid home from school from, well, two weeks ago until September, I needed a contingency plan so it worked out well.

I was looking at a used 911, used cayman gts, and new hellcat charger

The BMW worked out to be the cheapest, for an ordered car I got 10% off msrp plus incentives. It's really hard to beat that price.

We're getting bought, so there are "redundancies". Since there will be layoffs no matter what, I've told my boss, his boss, and a couple of other folks with some pull that I would like to be among those let go (with the generous severance package).

Why do people not delete emails? My wife has emails in her Gmail from 2017. They don't contain any files, important info, or anything beyond a conversation with a friend. And why don't people turn off email notifications? I know some people don't know how (like my wife) but wouldn't you spend a couple minutes to figure out how not to get an email from Groupon or Pinterest every 24 hours?
