Wow I know like 4 of those songs, and can honestly only vote for Burnin' For You. Strange for someone who grew up on classic rock (two decades too late). Did they get shafted by my local classic rock radio station?

I think it depends on the city and the station. I got into them thanks to some friends who were fans way back when, but our local radio station played not just the big 3 (Reaper, Burnin', Godzilla), but songs like I Love the Night, Take Me Away and Shooting Shark.

Still one of my favorite bands ever.  :hat

Would you do this poll for Deep Purple songs? Or I'll do it?  :)

Same here, but the only three I ever heard were

Burnin'
Reaper
Godzilla

Honestly not sure if I've ever heard any of the others.

Which was still one more song than Thin Lizzy ever got played.
would have thought the same thing but seeing the OP was TAC i immediately thought Maiden or DT related
Winger Theater Forums........or WTF.  ;D
TAC got a higher score than me in the electronic round? Honestly, can I just drop out now? :lol

That's because BOC is way better than Thin Lizzy could ever dream of being.

I've never really listened to much BOC besides what was on the Radio. But, I take offense to this comment , Thin Lizzy was awesome, Live and Dangerous all day, baby!!

And, 1 other thing. WE NEED MORE COWBELL!!

I voted for the three BOC songs I know, Don’t Fear the Reaper, Burnin’ for You, and Harvest Moon. Harvest Moon is a really cool song.

There were a lot of, "damn, I don't want to leave that one off" songs for me too, Zy.

I like a lot of their stuff, but Godzilla has always been my favorite BOC song.
Hef is right on all things. Except for when I disagree with him. In which case he's probably still right.

For some reason I had it in my head that Godzilla was a Deep Purple song. Do they have a song about Godzilla too? Maybe I’m thinking of Woman from Tokyo.

He didn't participate in this poll.

You know, I never did.  I never really clicked with Godzilla or Burnin' For You, though I like Don't Fear The Reaper.  I knew of them - I'm a HUGE Michael Moorcock fan; I've met him and even had some fairly lengthy internet/forum conversations with him about 10 years ago or so - but never really got into the music.

Now, one of the Bouchards (I think it's Albert) lives a town over from me (I believe) and he has several times played at a local tavern here to raise money.  I've not seen that show, but from all accounts he's well liked and respected.

I'm all in for a Deep Purple poll (and shame, HOF for confusing the two!  :) :) )

I listened to both songs back to back after posting that. Now the songs themselves aren’t similar, but I feel like either band could have performed either song.

But I’m bad about mixing up similar sounding classic rock artists. I was listening to The Who - Who’s Next the other day for the first time. Before that, I always thought Behind Blue Eyes was a Neil Young song.
