I mean it's not like we all claim that Rush was ever an "in-crowd" sorta band in the first place and was deemed cool.  I mean they are cool to us for all the reasons why we are here in this Dream Theater Forum, but to the mainstream, they ain't cool, but who cares about those people.  They are just missing on a great band with great music with an enduring long career.

If Travis Scott wants to wear a Rush shirt, awesome for him.  I ain't going to tell him what he should or should not wear at a music event.

Really?  I thought it was pretty straightforward.  It's supposed to be tongue in cheek though, as the mentioned in the OP.  He's just being silly - saying that Rush isn't for mainstream "cool" kids.

Think of it this way.   This article is very similar to what Washingtonians always tell Californians.
