Dude seriously? I mean, the 2nd one was a bit half baked, but the first one was MOST EXCELLENT!

I saw it when it was first in theaters, and I think me and the ex went back to see it 3 or 4 times we loved it so much.

Don't know if the third one will be worth watching, but the first two were gold. I even liked the second one better, though I know I'm in the minority.

Must've been Kwyji sending all the wrong songs.   ;D

I watched the first one again last year after years of never seeing it and it surprisingly still holds up, I still haven't seen the 2nd one though.

Why is there a sequel to this movie, other than to steal people's money? The original sucked to begin with. So pathetic and corny.

#oldmanrant

The irony of you adding a hashtag at the end of your post....

The first B&T was one of the best movies of all time.  The second not so much (except for the scene that I'm in).  Redemption is needed.

Trailer out....

Hard to make much of the trailer, but I'll be there as soon as they let me into a theater.

This... could be really, really good. I wonder what it looks like to the younger generation who knows nothing about Bill and Ted.

I'm thinking we're going to see many future versions of Bill and Ted. The circuits of history look messed up or something. Maybe Bill and Ted fucked up space time because of the "time game" at the end of Bogus Journey.

I'm not expecting much, but I can't wait for this. I expected Super Troopers 2 to suck, and it was solid despite how much time had gone by since the last.

I like them going into the future to steal the song they've already written by that point, and bringing it back to solve the problem of not having written the song.  It creates a paradox that pops up in science fiction a lot. Where did it "originally" come from?

It harkens back to them wanting to steal dad's keys, but they couldn't because he'd lost them.  So they went back in time to before he'd lost them, and took them then.  And it turns out that he'd "lost" the keys precisely because Bill & Ted had taken them into the future, where they were eventually found.  I love the "time game".

Also, that teaser answers the question of what in the heck the "buff" Bill & Ted pictures were all about.  Well, answers the "what" even if it doesn't quite answer the "why".  But that's why it's just a teaser.

I think it's weird seeing Keanu Reeves without his signature scruffy beard. That clean shaven face is just odd to see after most of his films of the last decade or so.

I see people comment on that a lot, Keanu's facial hair or lack thereof.  I guess I don't find it as distracting because I grew up with Theodore "Ted" Logan, and Neo, and John Wick is just Neo with facial hair.  This looks to me like an older Ted, not exactly having the charmed life he thought he was gonna have at some point, or maybe just older and more weary in general.  His face does look kinda weird, but I don't think it's the lack of beard.  He's a weird looking guy anyway.

Kinda like how people talk about Al Pacino, how it's weird seeing young Michael Corleone after the insane raving Carlito or Frank Slade from "Scent of a Woman" or Milton from "The Devil's Advocate" or a thousand other roles like that, starting I suppose with "Scarface".  I grew up with Michael Corleone and Bobby Deerfield, and Serpico is just Michael Corleone with a beard.  They're all Al Pacino.

Bill & Ted's Most Excellent Movie Book: The Official Companion is set to hit stores this August, and is now available to pre-order on Amazon. The hardcover book will serve as a companion to all three movies and features hundreds of photographs, script excerpts and quotes. A must-have for fans of this bodacious trilogy.

Wyld Stallyns – "That Which Binds Us Through Time: The Chemical, Physical and Biological Nature of Love; an Exploration of The Meaning of Meaning, Part 1"

:lol It's the "Part 1" that I love.  Reminded me of "Metropolis, Pt 1", the track so insane and out there that to suggest that it was only "Part 1" of something was itself a meta-joke.  I don't think that there's a "Part 2" coming, and that it really is the joke here, but you never know for sure.  It was really the joke with "Metropolis" originally, too.

Words cannot express how underwhelmed I am by that track list.  Well, specifically, the artist list, I suppose.  They couldn't get any known bands?  ???

That's what I was thinking, but I don't think the soundtrack is particularly important.  I am, however, a bit concerned about "Rufus Lives" in terms of storyline.
