« on: January 19, 2019, 07:25:57 AM »
What the playlist you lspecifically create to work out?

Right now, I work out listening to:
-Evergrey A Night to Remember
-Fates Warning Still Life Disc 1
-Symphony X Live in the Edge of Forever

Would like to change it up a bit but kind of hard with prog songs lol

My gym playlist is usually filled with short songs that all rock and/or upbeat. A lot of 80's stuff, some Muse, some Arcade Fire, some Pet Shop Boys, Van Halen, etc.

Right now I'm rotating:

Katy Perry - Witness
The War On Drugs - Lost In The Dream
Dimmu Borgir - Puritanical Euphoric Misanthropia
The Ataris - So Long, Astoria
Megadeth - Dystopia

Plus some random Metallica songs.

I tend to listen to more metal at the gym... but while I used to have a playlist years ago, these days I either set my gym playlist to my 'favorites' list (which contains my favorites from every kind of genre out there, including ballads, interludes, and more), or just seek out something new. I used to require heavy music to work out, but I can do it even with soft stuff. Anything goes, basically.
From a Mega Man Legends island jamming power metal to a Walrus listening to black metal, I like your story arc.

I don't know, I don't ever go to the gym. Membership is too expensive around here. My work is my gym, lots of physical labor landscaping.

I don't listen to music at the gym.  The gym I use isn't the biggest and I don't trust people and feel uncomfortable if I can't hear my surroundings.

Although when I go for runs I usually listen to Soilwork on my phone.
Everyone else, except Wolfking is wrong.

That's interesting. Sometimes I wish I was like that. I cannot work out if I don't have my music; if I get to the gym and realize I accidentally left my earbuds at home... I either just go back home for the day, or grab them and come back if I'm that motivated  :lol Mostly stems from not wanting to be talked to whatsoever at the gym, and I'd have people come up and try to talk to me while I have my music going at max volume.

To be honest, I've  never actually tried to work out with music, so if I tried it I wouuld probably love it.  I usually train with a partner also.  I also hate being talked to, even 5hough I don't have headphones I'm a rude asshole and people knoe not to talk to me haha.
