So, not having listened to any Tears for Fears in 20 years, I have to go the nostalgic route.

Shout
Everybody Wants to Rule the World

I loved those two songs. plus the latter featured well in a great film. So I file that one under H for Radical.

And Head over Heels had a cool video.

I am just getting into Tears For Fears. I know (and love by now) The Seeds Of Love. Other than that, I know just a few singles. I like Shout and Mad World very much. So:

Sowing The Seeds Of Love (got to know this song when I was like 10. Loved it ever since)

Woman In Chains (the moment when mighty Phil kicks in.. I instantly knew it was him.)
Mad World
Bad Man's Song (pop hardly gets any more progressive than this)

Year of the Knife is my favorite of the Side 2 cuts from The Seeds of Love, but Swords and Knives is very good, too!

Thanks, I will! I was gonna buy Big Chair too, but thanks for the recommendation for Happy Ending. Unfortunately it's very rare on vinyl.. There's only a promo version on red vinyl that is not even available on Discogs.

Interesting that your 5 favourites are not listed here.  I guess that shows the strength of this band but you would think at least one or two would be listed here.  I'm interested in knowing your 5 favourites since none are here.  I'm guessing that's the situation here, as I wouldn't think you would be posting just to say a band is shit just because they are not some sort of metal ir prog band, that would just be silly and something only Tim would do.

They're the only two I could name off the top of my head but I am sure I would know others if I heard them.  Even bands like the Rolling Stones are like that with me - the number of songs I could name cold  vs those I would actually know if I heard them are miles apart.
