You can vote for up to 6.

Options are the Phil Collins hits of the 80's and some hits from Genesis' self-titled album and Invisible Touch.

I went with:

Easy Lover
Mama
Land of Confusion
I Don't Care Anymore
In the Air Tonight
That's All

I could only bring myself to vote for 3 songs.

In The Air Tonight.....one of the all time greats
Easy Lover...Hey sue me! It's catchy and moves right along.
Against All Odds....Really reminds me of being a teenager. And damn, Rachel Ward.
would have thought the same thing but seeing the OP was TAC i immediately thought Maiden or DT related
Winger Theater Forums........or WTF.  ;D
TAC got a higher score than me in the electronic round? Honestly, can I just drop out now? :lol

Against All Odds
Easy Lover  (if memory serves correct it was on Philip Bailey's album)
Don't Lose My Number
In The Air Tonight
Land Of Confusion

Phil Collins is in there with my "Dad music" that my father drummed into me as a kid - along with Doobie Bros, Dire Straits, Chicago etc....  Not my normal style at all but love all those bands.

Groovy Kind of Love is woeful :)

Against All Odds
Take Me Home
I Wish It Would Rain

I recall enjoying these a bit when I was a teen, and while I can't say I've listened to anything Phil/Genesis in years, I could probably enjoy listening to them now, if only for the nostalgia.

Being a total Genesis nerd, I'm not quite sure why you would put Collins and Genesis songs in one poll ;) I could start with the whole "Tony Banks is the real mastermind behind Genesis" and "Genesis were not Collins' backing band in the 80's" whining but I'm sure you know what I mean  ;D

Anyway, I picked:

Against All Odds
Another Day in Paradise
Easy Lover
In the Air Tonight
I Wish It Would Rain
Mama

Not quite sure about not including That's All. The one I would most likely exchange would be Easy Lover. While still a super cool song of course.
Plus, I would like to use the opportunity to say how much I love these songs and how I think Genesis are absolute freakin geniuses.

I've never understood the massive adoration about In The Air Tonight.

You don't like I Don't Care Anymore? That song is so powerful and I often think of it as the second album's In the Air Tonight.

For me, I went with:
Invisible Touch
I Don't Care Anymore
Another Day in Paradise
Easy Lover
Land of Confusion
In the Air Tonight

Honorable mention to one track I really love that's not on that list: Long Long Way to Go
As a basic rule, if you hate it, you must solely blame Portnoy. If it's good, then you must downplay MP's contribution to the band as not being important anyway, or claim he's just lying. It's the DTF way.

And therein lies its problem. It is not in the same stratosphere as In The Air Tonight, and comes off as formulaic in its attempt.

Man, there are a lot of REALLY good songs associated with Phil Collins during this timeframe.  This is almost as hard as the Hall & Oates poll.  Is there a hits compilation out there that mashes together his solo and Genesis hits like this thread?  Because I really need that.

With the exception of "Easy Lover," this is largely a throwaway list for me.  A bunch of stuff that's "just ok."

"Easy Lover" is all kinds of great.  My favorite Phil Collins "solo" song by a massive margin.  I remember the song from the early MTV days but didn't think much of it at the time because I was in my "if it's not metal it's not good" phase.  The collaboration with Philip Bailey was magic, and the groove of this song is SICK.  And yes, it was released on Bailey's Chinese Wall album, which was produced by Collins, but it was released as "joint" single.

I picked three others:

A Groovy Kind of Love (purely for personal nostalgia reasons)
Another Day in Paradise
In the Air Tonight (see Zydar's comment, but it's a pretty good song nonetheless)
"There's a bass solo in a song called Metropolis where I do a bass solo."  John Myung

Could not agree more.  Collins was so money on the drum kit back then. Heck, even the Band-Aid song Do They Know It's Christmas? has a great groove, not to mention an all-time great drum fill, courtesy of Mr. Collins.

A good many "all-time great drum fills" really aren't that "great" in and of themselves, in my opinion.  It's just that they are the right fill at the right time, and the rest of the band sufficiently quiets down momentarily to really draw attention to the fill (or, in this case, the Phil).

Take Me Home
Tonight, Tonight, Tonight
Throwing It All Away
Don't Lose My Number

That list really doesn't do justice to how much I love Phil.  He's on my drumming Mt. Rushmore (Bonham, Peart, Collins, Portnoy) and his fisrt three solo albums are all killer almost no filler.  I think he's gotten short shrift because of his 1985, and in my mind, him and Robert Fripp are the two largest snubs in the RnRHoF right now, even over Maiden and Priest.

If Leaving Me Is Easy
Do You Know, Do You Care?

Amazing.  Having said that, "That's All" is one of my least favorite songs by any artist, ever.  Hate that song.

What was significant about his 1985? If you asked me if Phil was in the RRHoF as a solo artist I would have bet money he was.

I think "Take me Home" is the best on the list.

I don't know why, but differentiating between Phil's solo work and Genesis has easily been the most difficult for me compared to other solo/band separations.

Hell...there are at least a couple songs on the list are that worse than "That's All."

What does the word "snub" mean? I'm really asking.

When Stadler wrote that Phill Collins "and Robert Fripp are the two largest snubs in the RnRHoF right now," he is pointing out that neither of them are in the RNRHOF, and he believes that is unreasonable/unfair/unjust.  To say they have been "snubbed" is to say that they have been unjustly excluded.  For what my opinion is worth, I can't see why Fripp would get in, except as a member of King Crimson.  As for Collins, he's at least as deserving as any number of folks who have been inducted, but the RRHOF is a joke that includes innumerable inductees who never played a note of "rock and roll (e.g., Linda Ronstadt, Laura Nyro, NWA, etc.), so if you take precedent into account, then I suppose Collins should get in.  On the other hand, if you don't take precedent into account, then I would not agree that Collins belongs in.
