Adam Sandler's Tribute to Chris Farley
« on: December 19, 2018, 11:25:08 AM »
Anyone else see this?

I didn't know Adam Sandler was that good on guitar. Heck of a tribute too.

Very Adam Sandler.

And I mean that in a good way, because it made it very authentic to him and his relationship with Chris.

I was such a big Chris Farley fan growing up and I also loved Adam Sandler in the 90s.  Those two were on the top of the comedy world in my eyes.  This is awesome and Adam used to write songs for his solo comedy albums that were always funny, this is reminiscent of that in such an awesome way.

Chris Farley was a big part of my childhood. I still watch Tommy Boy occasionally because it's my favorite comedy ever. I absolutely love Farley. Not gonna lie, I shed a couple tears. Didn't take long before I got choked up. Just a dude who misses his friend.

That was really well done, thanks for sharing  :tup

Brings back a lot of good memories... I grew up watching Farley and always liked him. Now I'm in the mood to watch Tommy Boy  :lol

That was amazing. Seriously. I saw the link earlier today and didn't think much of it. That was really spectacular.

BUT...as much as I absolutely loved Chris Farley on SNL, Tommy Boy ...edit..
would have thought the same thing but seeing the OP was TAC i immediately thought Maiden or DT related

Not a fan of either but pretty cool. Was glad I watched.

I thought he was better on SNL; sort of like him and his personality, SNL allowed him to get in get out and slay you with something really energetic and special.    The  movies kind of... it's the problem with a lot of SNL stuff.

"I live in a VAN, down by the river!"
"Look, Dad... it's Bill Freakin' Shakespeare!"
"Hey Paul... remember, um, on, uh, Abbey Road, when, uh, you did that medley thing?  That was AWESOME."
No quote, but just the whole Chippendales sketch.

And of course, "Lay off me, I'm starving!!!"

My parents and I lose it at the Matt Foley sketch every time. When he's saying the Bill Shakespeare line he moves his glasses up and down real fast, makes me howl. Even more once Applegate and Spade start trying their hardest not to laugh and break character.

That was my favorite character of his. I can't find any of those sketches on youtube though.

Cool, thanks. There's been a number of times over the years, where the discussion has made me want to link one of those skits, but I could never find it on youtube.
