Your favorites of these records by Pink Floyd (PLUS)

You can vote for up to 3.

The choices are the solo albums and Floyd albums released after Roger Waters officially left the band in 1985.

I went with:

The Division Bell
Amused to Death
On an Island

Rattle That Lock just missed out.

This is tough.

A Momentary Lapse of Reason has some great songs, but they are much better represented on Delicate Sound of Thunder, which I listen to quite a bit. As such I see no reason to listen to AMLoR.

Division Bell has my favorite PF album track, High Hopes, but not much else impresses me.

Only listened to Endless River once or twice. Didn't really get in to it.

I cannot connect with On an Island at all.

Roger's solo efforts are hit or miss, and often more miss than hit. I could make one great album out of them. The most recent I found quite enjoyable when it was released, haven't listened to it since then. I need to revisit that.

Rick released a solo album?

This is one of the easiest polls for me, Division Bell and two Gilmour solo albums.
This first band is Soen very cool swingy jazz fusion kinda stuff.

The Division Bell and ONE of Gilmour's solo albums.

Is This The Life We Really Want? - Maybe it's because I had such low expectations for this album based on how I felt about previous Roger Waters' solo outputs, but I enjoyed this album so much. For someone this late into his career it was pretty damn good. I enjoyed the production style which seemed to be a little out of Roger's comfort zone based on his comments about it. I think it suited him well. Solid Album.

Momentary Lapse of Reason - this one just barely edges out Division Bell for me. Perhaps due to nostalgia.

On An Island - I played this album out when it came out in 2006, and still go back to it every now and again. This one is miles above David's most recent release, which is disappointing. I always preferred David's solo output more than Roger's, but I think that has flipped with their most recent releases.

Hey, I'm the first person to vote for Radio KAOS! It's far from perfect I know, but man, I love that album!

I picked
Is This The Life We Really Want?
and
On An Island.

I don't know Amused, KAOS and The Pros & Cons that well. Rattle That Lock could have been way better if Gilmour didn't just fade out every song. Gosh, the guy takes 10 years time to record a new album, which is fine, but couldn't he at least have thought of "real" endings for the songs?

TAC got a higher score than me in the electronic round? Honestly, can I just drop out now? :lol

Hah! Yeah, I'm not really a Pink Floyd fan per se. I hate The Wall, but love The Final Cut. Go figure.

All three Waters albums and it wasn't close.

The last two Waters being among my favorite albums of all-time.

Though not a solo album per se, The Soldiers Tale is pretty cool too.

Momentary Lapse of Reason (my first ever record as a kid)
Division Bell
On an Island

I feel like I'm in the minority but the post Waters records were really good. I got back to Reason and Division Bell far more than Final Cut or even The Wall.

I agree with this. As much as I love the last two Gilmour solo albums, they cannot touch DB or Amused.

The Wall is probably my most-listened-to album ever, but A Momentary Lapse of Reason and Division Bell are both really good and great, respectively, and kick the living crap out of the mostly mediocre Final Cut.

Still don't know if I'd take it over The Wall, but I's take The Final Cut over anything that came after for sure.

I'm an odd PF fan in that I got into the band REALLY late, and the first two albums I bought were DSOTM and Momentary Lapse.  I got both at the same time and loved them.  This was...about 1991 or early '92.  Then I got Delicate Sound of Thunder and loved that.  So I was a "new" fan when The Division Bell came out.  Bought that and loved it.  Then Pulse.  It was a long time before I bought another album.  So my fandom was pretty HEAVILY skewed toward the Gilmour-influenced side of Floyd from the beginning.  But I have never explored any of the solo albums by any of the members.  So with that background, my choices for this poll were fairly easy:
-Momentary Lapse
-Division Bell

That is similar to my path. I started with DSoT (with the thinking it would be a good 'greatest hits' album.) Then I got AMLoT, then upon recommendation The Wall. Then I was totally hooked. Incidentally after I got Pulse I never was compelled to get TDB since most of the songs were represented.
