Released today..

Anabasis-Of Conviction

https://open.spotify.com/album/2kNYmcxrpGTG6VsYyMz7aV?si=1X0zlorWTG2TnQSEXUunqA

Pretty good prog metal.

Beware the pussies, there are growls on this but it is 75-80% clean.

Disclaimer: This is not Barry's band.

The Drowned God - I'll Always Be the Same: https://open.spotify.com/album/3FEo4kjSuuFikarwoH2RTZ
Post-hardcore with some atmospheric elements, makes me think of Devil Sold His Soul to an extent

Dødsfall - Doden Skal Ikke Vente: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_u_VhHe6V1I
Straight up black-metal, notable mostly for how dynamic and diverse all the tunes are, dug it more than I was expecting

Ars Magna Umbrae - Lunar Ascension: https://i-voidhangerrecords.bandcamp.com/album/lunar-ascension
I, Voidhanger black metal, yep. Kind of dissonant but also solidly atmospheric, not quite sure how I feel about it yet but it's interesting

I realize this was released last year via a Kickstarter campaign initially, but this just got a new physical release via a record company yesterday.

Ghost Ship Octavius - Delirium

This band should be much bigger than they are. Their 2 albums are just stellar.
beul ni teh efac = Lube In The Face / That has to be wrong.  :lol / EDIT: Oh, it's Blue! I'm an idiot.
Pardon the interruption, but I just had to run in and celebrate the majesty of Lube in the Face as highest moment in roulette history

East of the Wall - NP-Complete: https://open.spotify.com/album/1r8lNw25lEH4sfzyrNf1sk
prog of the metal, my dudes. like a handful of growly moments but it's mostly melodic, technical, and good as heck

Billie Eilish - When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go?
pop, kind of, it's a bit all over the place really. a few tracks i really dug, a few that kinda sucked, it's interesting at the very least

more to come probably

Cool... I almost forgot about that Lance King.
That's a word salad - and take it from me, I know word salad
I fear for the day when something happens on the right that is SO nuts that even Stadler says "That's crazy".

Waste of Space Orchestra - Syntheosis: https://open.spotify.com/album/2si5wwVFSdYlHGyNx7Qdt5
they're like oranssi pazuzu, but

Laster - Het Wassen Oog: https://open.spotify.com/album/6Y8zIglrI0qTou9gPYTT8A
puppies posted this in the albums thread and oohh this is the kind of vaguely-weird-but-still-intense black metal i dig

Obzerv - Acherontia Atropos: https://obzerv.bandcamp.com/album/acherontia-atropos
vaguely djent-y but mostly pretty solid prog metal, wasn't crazy over it but it was decent

Town Portal - Of Violence: https://open.spotify.com/album/4sQG25DnEZVXCfNlAzqQSq
instrumental prog/math rock/metal, kinda reminds me of early east of the wall tbh, also not crazy over it but it's neat

Weyes Blood - Titanic Rising: https://rateyourmusic.com/release/album/weyes-blood/titanic-rising/

Some songs:

Andromeda: https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=StSEXZcwOB4

Movies: https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=RFtRq6t3jOo

Everyday: https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=AJ-BFlTo5ag

This is my AOTY. Pretty much just as good as the best pop rock albums from the 70s. Can’t stop listening to it.

stuff from the last three weeks of releases because i forgot about this thread

Belzebubs - Pantheon of the Nightside Gods: https://open.spotify.com/album/0TAQARpkOylXFwDT81Hdvi
a "virtual band" who plays actually pretty legit black metal. the back half was stronger than the front half, which i found a bit dull

De Lirium's Order - Singularity: https://open.spotify.com/album/0Iskt6PW9Owwxxi3tgSNGW
weird and varied melodic tech death, a bit on the short side but i dug it

Hath - Of Rot and Ruin: https://open.spotify.com/album/4ppnj41kkv3IVQ5gtAU5OL
proggy death metal, maybe a bit end on the chuggy side at times but it makes up for it with a lot of cool stuff throughout

Illyria - The Carpathian Summit: https://open.spotify.com/album/1lHWtlZfolidwqgWKHvmqi
way up the folky/progressive side of black metal, kinda makes me think of fen but not as heavy

Indepth - The Endless Pursuit: https://indepthmx.bandcamp.com/album/the-endless-pursuit
solid enough proggy death metal, it kept me interested but it wasn't stupendous

L'Acéphale - L'Acéphale: https://open.spotify.com/album/579ZkM09IZbe3CjbuYKS3k
actually relistening to this one right now which is what inspired me to update my posts here. this is uhh. some seriously good black metal w/ folk elements, a 75ish minute album that i enjoy pretty much front-to-back

Numenorean - Adore: https://open.spotify.com/album/4Yf0HZRHPCZvRteeDMLcul
it's like if black metal married djent and they had a weird, kinda interesting and cool baby

Tanagra - Meridiem: https://open.spotify.com/album/1xyoyOnY9y31z3JjrccbdG
for something labelled as "prog/power" this was actually pretty legit, a lot heavier and more interesting than i had expected

Tripsitter - The Other Side Of Sadness: https://open.spotify.com/album/7u5AO6HhwNFYFz6i7GTvlt
i don't remember this one but i called it pretty solid post-hardcore and put it on my relisten list so it's probably pretty alright

Valence - Cognitive Dissidents: https://open.spotify.com/album/1IHHEzkfPkjwiLHn2GoBav
pretty dang solid instrumental prog metal, I feel it doesn't get too wanky but still impresses both technically and musically

New Bad Religion:

https://open.spotify.com/album/1GNAN3xxTAYedMvS9CEOdz?si=KmJoOTGZQ6GGTYykSv0jQw

And new The Wildhearts:

https://open.spotify.com/album/7lTltbxLhDQTlhIRtS4nsf?si=KVYwDc7zSIGjM9pCVNaOtQ

Released today  :metal

I'm hearing the new Wildhearts is really good. Will definitely pick that one up.

I was really pleasantly surprised, it was way better than I expected
