So, one listen in for At the Gates...couldn't pay too too close attention, but it definitely feels a little more adventurous than the two comeback albums preceding it. Some interesting arrangements and song structures, less reliance on the riffs alone. Some stuff tends to blend a bit but, again, I wasn't really giving it full attention. I did leave me wanting to go back to it, so that's a good sign. "Cosmic Pessimism" seems like a pretty cool song, reminds me of recent Enslaved...

Hybrid - Black Halo

Vonavi posted about this on Instagram earlier. I'm really enjoying this and this artist has a number of records in his catalog I may be checking out as well soon for a fix on Ambient, Cinematic electronic muisc, which I'm sure has served as a big inspiration for Vonavi.

I'm a big fan of Hybrid's earlier albums. I have this on my radar, but it's the only album from this week that of interest to me. Very dry week.

Really intrigued by this artist from New Zealand, Anthonie Tonnon, who's second album, Leave Love Out, is out today. Kind of a blend of Bowie, Byrnes, and Bono as a singer.

UK proggers "Big Big Train" released "Common Ground" last week. Man, these guys keep pushing out albums, I don't think I've gotten around to give the previous 2 or 3 a good listen and now there's another one!

It's usually really good music, tho. Recommended for those into the prog 'rock' and not so much in the 'metal'.

Latest release: https://open.spotify.com/album/7hoFLrTBtEyDQq19jwA8iq?si=XVCAGY1lSwypzNp-kqLXLg&dl_branch=1

edit: lol, just realised they have their own thread on here, 15 pages. OK, so you know about this then!  :lol

That's a word salad - and take it from me, I know word salad
I fear for the day when something happens on the right that is SO nuts that even Stadler says "That's crazy".

The best part was meeting Stadler and Kingshmegland in the soup line. The soup of course was being scooped by Lonestar.
