Saw this earlier today and I have to say, I am really excited. Whenever Marco plays with any musician I know and love hearing from, it excites me to no end. I hope this is something that can hit the road, it would be nuts to see them live.

The question is - who will play bass? I'm almost certain it WON'T be Geddy, because it would draw too many comparisons to Rush. How about Tony Levin? Jonas Reingold? I'm just trying to think of bassists that Marco has played with that would sound good with Alex...

Well if you have to move on from playing with Neal Peart, I guess Marco Minnemann is an OK choice :lol

Yes, on 3 songs.
I hope this time it’s anentire album. It would be amazing !

OMG Tony Levin, Marco Minnemann and Alex Lifeson in a same project! Is this the real life, is this fantasy?! :omg:

I'm perfectly fine if it's just Marco and Alex, but this is very exciting nonetheless!

I love Tony Levin's playing to death but I'm kind of tired of hearing him in "shred" music (with LTE and Marco/Rudess project). If he plays in a tasteful way like with Peter Gabriel, then I'm all in for Tony playing with Alex and Marco.

I wouldn't be surprised if the bassist was Nick Beggs... He played with Marco in SW's band and The Mute Gods.

I'm loving this, but to think most of this will sound anything like Rush would be a huge mistake.  Cannot wait to hear what these guys come up with.

This is just a no-brainer collaboration that I'd never even thought of but since Rush is out of the equation the possibilities are endless.

Sadly though I don't think there's a shot in hell of this hitting the road.

I expect this project to be more in vein of Lifeson's experimental side, like he did on Victor. I think he and Marco have this in common musically. The song from Borrego that they composed together, On That Note, is what I have in mind.

Gary Weinrib on bass??

I've always thought Rush should have ditched Geddy for Weinrib a long time ago.  Better singer, better bass player.

I hope so, but I'm going to like this no matter what based on who is involved.

I wasn't entirely sure where to share this, but considering it showcases the immense talent of Alex Lifeson, I thought it would be most appropriate here.

I have to express how much I'm truly relishing every moment of this album.

This is another song from my brand new 2023 album ‘Their Colors Fade’ and it’s called ‘Love Just Follows Through’ (which also features a guest appearance by the utmost talented vocalist Kotono Omori).
Oh and for the geeks: this song is in 13/16. 🙂
