I've never heard a Scorpions album. I think I know like 8 songs thanks to classic rock radio but that's it, and if I only know 'the hits' by a band then they're totally free to send.

I have heard Firewind before but they're not banned - my RYM only has one of their albums, and I can't remember anything about it other than the first three songs which I really like.

Updated.

Yeah, I believe it's the second time I see Scorpions being used in roulettes. The first time was when I sent them to Bolsters.

The Scorpions are excellent for a roulette, because they're kind of like the Stones or Rush, in that they have at least four distinct "eras" that are fairly distinct from one another.   The early psychedelic years (the first two records), the mid-Hendrix years (the Roth records), the hair-metal years (Lovedrive through... say, Crazy World) and the recent "Social activist/farewell tour" version.

You play something off Lonesome Crow or Fly To The Rainbow, and if you don't recognize Klaus' voice (and on LC that's a real possibility) you wouldn't know it was the Scorpions.

I mean, this is true. Still, both, say, Yellow Raven (slightly later than the albums you mentioned, but still) and, say, Humanity are bliss to my ears.

No doubt!  I didn't say I didn't like the later stuff; I pretty much like everything of the first three eras, and am a fan of Humanity Hour (though in part because I know one of the songwriters).

After discovering what songs the other traveler's presented, Owl Screech decided his were the best. Although he would have to keep an eye out for Alithia (righteous he calls himself, yet he associates with the lords of black and nightmares, hypocrite) and that annoying wizard from the south. How can you trust a man without a name...?

“Alithia” wakes three days later from his slumber.  Wondering ‘who the fock spiked my weed!?!?’

He is startled by what he thinks is someone greeting him with “Good morning to you”, and turns to see the King of Shmegland with a Disney sized turkey leg in his hand, and grease dripping from his majestic beard.  “Alithia” offers and upwards head nod, but says nothing.  He doesn’t trust that his voice won't betray him.

He sheaths his sword - his ACTUAL sword - and rises to his feet, thinking “Christ this armour is heavy, I’ve got to take it off for a while”.  Luckily, there are no monsters in this territory (yet), so he head in to the woods for some privacy, so he may do the needful.

Still groggy from his slumber, he fails to notice that Evrys has also sought some privacy in the same direction - but for a different purpose - until it it too late.

"My Eyes!!!", he shrieks!  Evrys is startled, but unphased; he has a job to finish.

I was going to post snippets last night but for some of them I don't have much to say without giving them away. So if ya'll can bear with me another day or two, I should have results ready to go Tuesday. Can't guarantee I'll have snippets every round with how much work I put into the results, so this is one of those where I'm passing them.

This round has several artists I've wanted to hear for a long time but didn't know where to start, several songs by artists I'm already a touch familiar with, several artists I've never heard before and I'm loving, and several artists I've never heard before that aren't doing much for me. A motley crew.

"Christ, these lands are deserted.  Not only are there no monsters, those I started this journey seem to have vanished.  I'm beginning to wonder if Evrys is also in disguise, as he's not much of a talespinner."

"Alithia" removes his armour confident no one is around to discover his well hidden secret.

He craves another hit from his pouch, but doesn't trust that he'll be out for another three days.  The screams of "Save me!" haunt him, and the hooch is the only thing that takes his mind off of it.  He yearns to continue his quest, but must await a sigul of some sort to know which path will lead to his destination, and the pending confrontation he knows he must face.

"Ah... that's it... everyone's hooch is spiked.  Perhaps this too is the work of the Dark Wizard.  Could his enchantments extend this far?"

"I've been sitting on thy throne for days.  The castle is empty, quiet.  I'm too lazy to get my own mead.  The wenches are working, and not the way I like them to work.  Oh when will the court jester Kattilonious come and dance for me.  I must summon him!"

Kattilonius, a quirky, gaunt man in ragged jester's clothes, peers from behind an ancient oak and suppresses a sickly laugh. The Mountain King, the Dark Wizard, the One Who Sings Doom awaits his report - these sinful, decadent bards will see what they are truly made of in time...
