Arlright, comrades. No shows this week, hence no bus, but I'm gonna spend the next four hours relaxing and listening.

Make me find a completed hangman when i'm back and I'll give you Couch Impressions.

See? Bizarro Hangman is easier and involves way less work on my end.

Anyway, 33% songs are on/about drugs, 33% songs think I'm a depressed wuss, 33% songs are focking bonkers.
The 90's, ladies and gentlemen.

Since we went vanilla about the hangman, let's get retro weird with:

The Uatu The Observer's "What If" Couch Impressions:

“What If the Madcap were allowed a wee less acid?”

“What If the Four Horsemen replaced dead Cliff with alive Charles Manson?”

“What If Baby Groot weren't so damn cute and I could focus on the song better?”

“What If Ken Loach ghost-wrote lyrics for the Fab Four?”

“What If Trevor Rabin wore the Infinity Gauntlet?”

“What If someone built a Tower of Power in the Caribbean?”

“What If the Joker were into The Mothers of Invention?”

“What If Tony Iommi were a teenager in '89 Seattle?”

“What If Steve Harris were born in Kansas?”

“What If Lou Reed met Laurie Anderson before meeting the White Duke?”

“What If the Sunset Strip were populated by hard-working, good natured dudes?”

“What If Ian Curtis found solace in mild prog?”

“What If Fripp, Squire, Palmer, and the Shulman Bros formed the Avengers?”

“What If science finally realised Italian-American guitarists have the highest % chance to sport the Virtuoso DNA?

“What If every band were so tight live that we didn't need to buy studio albums anymore?”

“What If Howe, Rutherford, Hammer, and Giles formed the Justice League?”

In all seriousness, I regret not taking in ONE Dead show. Every year I was in college, they basically took over Providence for 4 or 5 days. I had suite mates that begged me to go with them, but I was too Metal Stuckup.

I sent a live version as an additional bonus, but my main submission was the studio track. So yeah this is likely yours, in which case mine is:

Good morning, bedlam. A little Q&A!

“What If every band were so tight live that we didn't need to buy studio albums anymore?”

Unless someone else sent live tracks this is definitely mine.

Dead on, and I know it's a live recording only 'cause you told me.

I'll take Hard Working Sunset Strip Trio's for $400, Alex.

I'm liking the 1/3-1/3-1/3 categories, because mine ain't about/on drugs, and is far from depressing.

What is "Bonkers in a good way?"

Ding ding ding! You're 400$ richer, sir.

Yours definitely thinks I'm a depressed wuss, 'cause it's one of the most uplifting tunes I've ever heard.

"Bonkers in a good way" I'm taking as personal title, thank you.

Mine is definitely in the depressed category

But I mean, it's less that I picked this song specifically for you and more that I had very, very few options :P

Yeah, I left you no choice. But you got classic hangman!

“What If Steve Harris were born in Kansas?”

This one is mine.

It sure is, and you guessed Dante and Junction right too!

Squeeze?

Oh, yes, thank you!  ;D

LSD ain't about drugs, but they are cleverly referenced once, arguably twice

They were cleverly used during the writing process, trust me.  :)

Right about Groot.

I sent a live version as an additional bonus, but my main submission was the studio track. So yeah this is likely yours, in which case mine is:

Exactly. And, speaking of tight, it doesn't get any tighter than your song.
