How about a few first impressions. I'm getting a good head start on this batch of albums.

- This album is just silly
- This album has me excited like the first time I heard Moonsorrow. I feel like this is going to be a huge grower.
- Interesting mixture of various styles in a relatively basic, but subtly intriguing framework
- This is just Vanden Plas with Derek Sherinian on keyboards in disguise, right?

Yeah, it was a one-off album with Dave Navarro and Eric Avery of Jane's and a drummer I'm not sure I've heard of outside of this project.  It was right before Navarro joined the Chili Peppers and right when Farrell formed Porno For Pyros.

It's an interesting record, if you ask me, though according to wikipedia, it's a "cult masterpiece" now.  I love all things Navarro, so it's a favorite of mine.

Now I am not what you would call a RHCP fan, but I loved me some Mother's Milk in college, and I LOVE One Hot Minute. Saw that tour at the um..Fleetcenter in 1996. Great show.
