Rikard Sjoblom's Gungfly - Friendship

My album of the year for 2018. Actually listening to it right now.

Rikard was also the mastermind behind the (sadly) now defunct Beardfish. I would highly suggest them, if you are not already aware.
"It is I - Turkey Volume Guessing Man!" - Crow from MST3K
"Military Intelligence - Two Words Combined That Can't Make Sense." - Hangar 18

Pendragon - Pure
Pendragon - Passion

While I second these recommendations, these come from a phase in Pendragon's history where the guitars are quite dominant, giving it an almost prog-metal feel. If you want the traditional keyboard-dominated sound, I'd also recommend earlier Pendragon albums, especially Window of Life, Masquerade Overture and Not Of This World, an emotionally powerful album which for me is the absolute peak of their real neo-prog sound. After Not Of This World, they took a considerable left turn in their sound.
