i've sent four songs and they've been at best "okay" in jingle's eyes, which just gives me the impression we aren't compatible  considering there's like 15 other people in this roulette i don't think having one less song per round to meh is gonna make a huge difference anyways

to the bolded part .... Big fucking shock  !  We both knew this BEFORE the roulette started.  As Kade said, I'm quite certain he barely found your songs ok as well, but you didn't pack in from his roulette.

As I've said to everyone who's participated in any of my roulettes ... do it of your own volition.  I'm not forcing anyone to be here, and I'm not going to chase anyone down to submit each round.  I understand Parama's position, and if he doesn't want to be here, so be it. I was interested in having him participate to see if there was anything in his library that would appeal to me.

Again, from the OP.... there's no butt-hurt in roulettes.  I'm not butt-hurt over this.

Parama, I'm curious - were you really thinking about not participating in my roulette, or just being self-deprecating?  I had this impression of what you listened to, even though I didn't really know, and thought it was super heavy and growly and kind of assumed that I wouldn't like a lot of what you sent.  But even so, I was still bummed you were thinking about dropping out.  And look what happened?  Or did you secretly think from the beginning that you'd do well?

Um, I speak only for me, but you've made that pretty clear in my mind.    If you weren't into "winning" then just send music and STFU (figuratively, of course).    I know going in that "Music from... The Elder" isn't going to win any roulettes, but it's a song he's never heard, by a band he might have a pre-concieved notion on, and we get to talk about it for a couple days. 

Like I said before, my kids college tuition isn't riding on this.  It's a chance to shoot the shit about music with some friends, and maybe introduce something.   No offense to anyone, but 85% of the music sent to me in mine didn't register, but 15% did, and in that group, there were two that I would have bet a round of drinks wouldn't have done anything but made me gag, but in fact, really impressed me (one, I went out and bought a good part of that artists back catalogue as a result).

Put a different way, if "compatibility" was a criteria, I'd be in TAC's roulettes and that's about it.
