Yeah but consider this: when it started in July it will have been 16 weeks ago in the grand scheme of things. 16.

Ok, now I got even more excited for this  :metal :metal :metal :metal :metal :metal :metal :metal :metal
It sounds like, "ruk, ruk, ruk, ruk, ruk." Instead of the more pleasing kick drum sound of, "gzarruk, gzarruk, gzarruk, gzarruk."

Not a clue, but:

I found out that Freddy's profile picture here is taken from a gif of a sock puppet:

Here's a link to the gif: https://dribbble.com/shots/2395656-Sock-Puppet-Motion-Track-WIP

The name of the guy who created it? Fred.

A day later, he created a gif of a pirate sock puppet. :yarr

Even if it's all a coincidence, I find it very funny!

This confirms that Freddy is secretly James LaBrie

I'm really surprised nobody thought to delve into the sock puppet rabbit hole earlier.  ;)

I can confirm that the sock puppet iconography was chosen deliberately.

I thought so (because everything about the whole hunt is deliberate)

Yeah, thanks Max! Now, I wonder, will we ever know who Fred Jacobi is?

Is "Jacobi" a reference to the famous Mathematician who created the Jacobi symbol? I'm pretty sure it is.

Probably, I think.  But in the end, he may just be a sock puppet.

that's what I thought too, but we don't know yet (or will we ever?) Maybe Kim (noxon) knows, since he gave the "green light" as it were by saying that the hunt is legit (at the very beginning of the thread, remember)

I can confirm that the sock puppet iconography was chosen deliberately.

So we can assume Freddy Jacobi and Pupp Socket may also be ciphers or clues themselves.

Well, I was almost close. Going to have to put my thinking cap back on.

I would absolutely love it if he was just a sock puppet. Or better, it's the owner of the sock puppet : Garfield, the cat! :metal

No worries.  I'm not bothered.  I was just confirming that I know/what who he is.  Or, perhaps more accurately, I know his/its identity.

Might be stating the obvious here - but a sock puppet is another name for an alt account on a message board, i.e. when someone pretends to be someone else, like Bosk totally hasn't within the last five posts.

Figured that was why Freddy was a sock puppet, didn't figure that it was deliberate / significant!  Basically might suggest it's a forum member?

I will just go on record as saying that Freddy is not me, if that is what you were insinuating might be the case.

Beyond that, I will not say anything more about who or what Freddy is.  That will be made known eventually, I assume.
