Dammit Bosk!

So we can assume Freddy Jacobi and Pupp Socket may also be ciphers or clues themselves.

I think Pupp Socket = Sock Puppet (refers to the profile pic)

As far as I know, no one else has done this yet, so I sent the Freddy Jacobi Reddit account a PM with the subject "GLASSPRISON".
Dunno if that's what we're supposed to do next, but it's something, right?

Sinister Rectus from the Discord found out that some of the text in the first message might be related to Hamilton, the Broadway show. “Your Obedient Servant” is one of that album’s tracks, and that can be found at the end of the first post, along with “IHTB”. Previously, the message contained “IHTHTB” instead of “IHTB”, and that seems to be an abbreviation of “I Have The Honor To Be”, exactly as seen in the song:

“I have the honor to be Your Obedient Servant
A dot Burr”

So now we know what IHTB means - I think it could be "I'm Honored To Be", as "I Have The Honor To Be" in a shorter form.

Given the description on the site that contained the first puzzle piece picture, that kind of describes the whole idea, I think this is going to span a lot of things. If you don't have social media, I imagine there'll probably be a few puzzles out of the 16 total you won't be able to be part of solving every part of, but I get the sense this is supposed to be all-inclusive, if you're brave enough.

Wow! You guys crack me up. I'm so slow at solving riddles that you will have solved this one before I even understand that it's JLB on the first pic...

To be fair, I think this is a pretty clear cheat, and I'm kind of disappointed that it's happened. The reason ARGs like this are fun is that we get to go along with the clues, try stuff out, and collectively struggle to solve the riddles and such; a bunch of people brute forcing their way through finding hidden pages and such completely ruins the fun of this for me, and I doubt I'm alone on this. :-\

So, call it what you like, but I am strongly against this "Peeking under the parents' bed", as Podaar put it. Any time the solution used for a problem is most accurately described as "Brute force" is completely missing the point of ARGs like this.

This is pretty pointless, really. They said we would need "computer skills", so there you go, we've got it. This was actually the first thing I thought about (indexing the pages, somehow) but I didn't have enough WordPress knowledge (this is, to know the attachment IDs and stuff) so I got nowhere.

And we didn't go anywhere, after all. We have the URLs but no keys, and some the links are not even active.

Seconded. And there is a big difference between wanting to advance and wanting everything immediately. I love it when people make progress but I hate it when they brutally force their way through a riddle (and I'm a big riddle fan). Hope everything isn't ruined now.

This is a bad way to cope with the community having more computer skills than you. You could've just change what will happen in the next weeks...
anyway where do we start now ?

Yes, but when you manage to unlock the whole puzzle at once, it's a different game altogether.

It's the journey, not the destination, that makes this treasure hunt special.

^ exactly.

Where do you start now? You start by deleting the progress you've made. All the puzzle pieces are now invalid. You brute forced your way into the images that were not to be given out yet, and as such, I cannot allow that to exist. So all of those images are now invalid.

Damn it as you say! For all we know, the initial riddle might have been fantastic and because of some guys with a hacker tendency, we are left with a void. Well, might as well go back to sleep now. No, just kidding, it's plain daylight here. I think I will go back and play another riddle.

Look, it's more fun if you guys try to solve the puzzles, not brute force your way into the solution. Unfortunately, wordpress had an unforeseen function where you could access pages and attachment even though they were not posted anywhere. So I have to use another deliverymethod. The puzzle pieces will change.

Here's where you stand now:

The first clue and solution is still valid. The image as part of that solution has changed.

The second clue is still valid. The password is still valid. The place to find the second solution is not.

That's all the adjustments I need.

The rest will be made available in due time.

Well, that was something I was aware of, and part of the reason why I thought you should try to solve this game. Unfortunately, technical limitations with the wordpress software ruined part of what I had planned :)

I'm well aware that chances for this are basically none, but I would love if you Freddy were actually a band member, with you revealing it with your last post once the treasure hunt is over, and departing from the forums to never post again  :D
