Hmm... So, the pirate puppet thing points to James LaBrie... And Freddie Mercury is one of James LaBrie's greatest influences... Freddy Jacobi, Freddie Mercury... Hmm...

No clues for the self-titled puzzle yet, eh?

Also, what's going on with the google doc? It looks as though people have tried to tamper with it.

Another_Won

Is there going to be any significance to the actual picture once it's complete?  Like we have to look for clues within it etc.

Yeah and I'm furious about that (furious as fuck really). I would have reverted the changes instantly but I'm not allowed to. No clues yet, you're right. On Sunday I guess.

Yes, that would be really nice of you. I've marked all the unnecessary changes as answers containing "no". (for easier reference.)

OK, just rejected all those weird suggestions. I've accepted one, though, because I think the guy actually corrected something in a pic I posted the other day.

For me too half the time actually :D, but I'm part of the  Gdoc crew and we all manage to crack them in some ways. And somebody has to do it, so that's what it is.

Not long now.

It will have been an awesome way to hype the new album!

I was thinking about that a couple of days ago:

The first clue appeared on June 29th. That's 3 months and 1 week.

The album won't be released until January. That's 3 months.

We still have a lot of hyping to do!  :P

(Not that I'm complaining.)

Yeah no. Although Maddi (I believe, could have been another person) said that they were finished earlier than they thought. So the record may be released earlier than we were told. But yes, there will be more hype and it will expand weekly it seems :D

Just out of curiosity, is there an endgame in sight for this? I mean, all the clues and solutions that you're getting, do they point to a "bigger picture", as in composing a puzzle where you start to understand the figures, or it's just one clue after the other that allows you to keep going?

Well, the way I've always seen it is that we get one final letter and picture fragment sometime this coming week. Once we have that, the code and the "bigger picture" as it were is completed. Then we have to input it somewhere. Once we know where and we've done that, we know the album title. It's a little bit of both (as good an answer I can give to your question)

Maybe this answers your question:

That's what we have as of today.

Each puzzle piece Freddy shared has a small letter hidden somewhere. If the next -and final- puzzle piece has an 'E', then we have some ideas of what words we can form with all 15 letters.

(Looking at the picture, and judging by the original first puzzle piece posted in the first page of the thread, it seems to me that Freddy had originally cut the bigger picture into 3x5, but then he divided it into 5x3.)

Also: look at how many arms Mike has! He reminds me of this guy:

Well, I'll share one I came up with (which means the idea will likely be useless :P):

The letters from the 14 puzzle pieces obtained so far are:

D, S, Y, R, F, R, O, G, T, P, L, A, N, K

If the next and final letter is an 'E', then an anagram you can form is:

GRONSFELD KRYPTA

Freddy has said "I really enjoy Gronsfeld Ciphers", but so far we've only had one of that sort of ciphers to solve.
Plus, the guy who invented the cipher was German, and 'krypta' is a word in German - it translates in English as 'crypt', which is a term used not only for chambers and sarcophagi, but for computer science and passwords as well. See:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Crypt_(C)
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Crypt_(Unix)

('KRYPTA' or an anagram of it could also be a word encrypted through the Gronsfeld cipher, which we'd need to crack.)

Of course, 'GRONSFELD' could be a coincidence; or, maybe we don't even get an 'E' in the first place!

My two cents, anyway.

(If we get an 'I', an anagram is 'DYSTOPIAN RFRGLK'.)
