I sent 2 songs that he said he liked, but I'm still on the bottom. This is starting to feel like Wolfking's Roulette 2.0.  :rollin
aka Puppies_On_Acid
I peed next to Ian Mosley and Mark Kelly
Derek Sherinian probably stands 10 feet away from the urinal, shoots from downtown, and announces loudly that he's making history.

Ok, sent something that is almost certainly unexpected of me, based on my previous roulette participation, but still an all time favorite, so you will probably hate it  :). Also this song is older than I am.

I don't think it's that... Perihelion Ship was a grower; it certainly didn't start off being in 1st place.  I just... don't think I like whatever it is that you would call that.  It reminds me a little bit of this Arcturus release called Disguised Masters which I thought that I should like because I like (to some extent) everything else, but I really couldn't stand it.  But at least this was another look at Ulver for me and I have a better idea that they just probably aren't my thing.

No, no, no. Ulver is so diverse that you can’t judge them by two songs.

No, I'm sure not.  But I have an album, I've heard this track, I've heard a track (or maybe 2) from Perdition City, I've heard some black metal tracks... and the creepy Sinister track.  Which isn't to say that there's not one song that I'd like; War of the Roses was OK - didn't love it, didn't hate it.  Aside from that album, I feel like a need something more melodic than I get from them.

Puppies you should totally send Type O Negative. You have no idea how much I love that October Rust album.  :hefdaddy

I'm bummed about my score, regardless. I think the track I sent is amazing, but it took me multiple listens over a longer period to really appreciate it. Same thing for the whole album though. Now I think it's Ulver's second best behind Perdition City.

I'm happy with the score for Pyramid Theorem. I thought it might do well, with Lethean listing Rush and DT among his fave bands.

Love To Love is amazing. I would've never thought to send it.
would have thought the same thing but seeing the OP was TAC i immediately thought Maiden or DT related
Winger Theater Forums........or WTF.  ;D
TAC got a higher score than me in the electronic round? Honestly, can I just drop out now? :lol

That's a great ambient album, and I'd go with The Assassination of Julius Caesar for some dope catchy synthpop  :metal

Why did you think it'd be appropriate for a roulette then? :lol

Now I feel guilty, and still think maybe I missed something.  But let me ask you this - what did you think of the song the first time you heard it?  Was it positive or neutral and then you grew to love it?  Or was it actually negative and then grew on you that much? Maybe I'll try to come back to it in a couple weeks.

Me and Rich... from Firsts to Worsts.

Gonna send something from the 80s this round, and see how that fares.  Just have to figure out what.  Will send tomorrow before I'm out for a couple of days of travel.

I'll send mine later today. I still have no idea what to send (well, I have one that I'm confident Lethean will really like, but I don't enjoy it much, as I want to send my favorite songs/artists).

Listening to songs all day trying to find ones I both love *and* think you'd enjoy. It's been tricky - there's one band we both know you're getting but you've already heard so it's deciding if I want to send something completely out of the norm for them or some balls-to-the-wall power metal :P (edit: actually that's applicable to 2 bands! haha)

EDIT: Nope, have to send again  :rollin I had no idea Lethean owned a few Stratovarius albums, for some reason I was under the impression Lethean either didn't know much about them or straight up disliked them based on a couple songs. Well shoot.
