Where's Woke Up With Wood? Or Velcro Fly?

Anyway I went with:
Sharp Dressed Man
La Grange
Legs
Rough Boy
Sleeping Bag
Gimme All Your Lovin'
Stages
aka Puppies_On_Acid
I peed next to Ian Mosley and Mark Kelly
Derek Sherinian probably stands 10 feet away from the urinal, shoots from downtown, and announces loudly that he's making history.

I haven't actively listened to ZZ Top in almost ten years, so it was kind of hard to remember some of these songs. Ultimately, I picked following songs:

Sharp Dressed Man
Tush
La Grange
Pincushion
Sleeping Bag
Party on the Patio
Got Me Under Pressure

I'm not a huge ZZ Top fan, but I picked the songs on Eliminator and Afterburner. I was a kid and we had MTV then. That was my exposure to ZZ Top. Rock radio would play "Cheap Sunglasses" and "LaGrange" which I thought were pretty good too.

La Grange is great, but I was always surprised at how classic rock radio stations seem to hold it in such higher regard than every other ZZ Top song from the 70's.  It sure does rock, regardless, and that riff is cracking. :metal :metal

I love ZZ Top, but I'm indifferent on their two biggest songs, La Grange and Tush (pronounced "tush", as in "rush").

Yep, I think they are one of those bands for a lot of people where you are like, "They are pretty good," and then you look at their songs and are like, "I like that song, and that song, and that song...," and before you know it, the list is much longer than you would have thought it would have been.

Well if you like one of their songs, it would stand to reason you would like more of them, considering they all sound the same.

I would agree to an extent, but at least they aren't as samey sounding as AC/DC.

Sharp Dressed Man isn't horrible.

Otherwise, I've never heard a ZZ Top song that was tolerable.

Yeah, that's pretty much me as well.  I've never had any of their albums and don't really desire to.  But for the odd song here and there, the MTV hits are pretty much where it's at for me.
