Fabio Lione leaves Vision Divine

Couldn't find even a dedicated Vision Divine thread so thought I'd make a new thread...

Second time he's out, probably for good. I don't blame him given VD hasn't released an album in 6 years and Angra is just getting bigger and bigger. Since he left Rhapsody I don't think I'll ever be surprised if he leaves another project (including Angra), but it is sad whenever a band loses someone as unique as him. How do the Vision Divine fans feel?

EDIT: Didn't realize Vision Divine shared his statement back at the end of April, weird that I'm just now finding out about this and didn't see it when he posted it...

I always thought VD was big, at least for power metal (the joke writes itself, folks, have at it). My perception is way off balance apparently. :lol

I figured more people would be aware of them given Fabio's association and many years with them. I've known about them since I was a kid but have never paid them too much attention personally.

I know about Vision Divine, but mainly because I'm italian  :lol I like some songs here and there but I never really followed them.

Luppi is great but to me Secret Sphere don't sound the same with him. When he was busy with Whitesnake Secret Sphere had a show booked in my city and they filled up the vacant vocal slots by having many singers of the scene show up to sing some songs. The final singer was their original one, and they played only A Time Never Come songs. That's one of the best italian albums of the power metal scene, ever.

I know this is a long shot, but do you happen to know of an Italian band called Time Machine? More importantly do you know if they'll ever do another album?

Vision Divine has been very inconsistent, and with them now being somewhat inactive no surprise Fabio is leaving. Secret Sphere also have some great material, A Time Never Come amongst that, though my favorite is Heart & Anger.

Yes.  I already forgot about that.  :P  Maybe Olaf would get him to sing more cleanly again.  Or maybe Luppi's been watching too many videos of MP talking about singers and their balls...
