WelcomeWell here it is, the long awaited second roulette. Now after doing my first roulette, I found the whole thing very enjoyable, and found quite a few bands that I play regularly and albums that I have found thanks to it. I think it's time for another one, and the demand from some people has been high. Now at 33 years old, my tastes haven't changed in 20 years, and if there was one thing I learnt from the roulette is exactly that. I have a metal heart through and through. Over the years I've tried many different styles and genres and my collection and bands I like do boast that, but I keep coming back to the heavy stuff.
This roulette is open to whatever you choose to send, but I'm saying straight up, it's good classic, solid metal I'm really looking for. What I check out these days is not too much to be honest and I've become fussier and fussier. I'll flick something after a short listen and won't look back. SO over the last few years, I've become lazy and generally haven't had the motivation to look for new stuff. I lost a little bit of love for the thirst to discover new music and I have just been humming along. That's where this comes in, cause I'm getting that motivation back. Work has been busting my balls for quite a while now and I need some new music now for sure. So many of you guys see bands that you post in the 'what are you listening to thread' that I wouldn't have a clue who they are, so even though my banned list is big, I'm sure you'll find stuff I don't know.
This is going to be a straight up, no bullshit, simple roulette, with no tricks or anything of the kind. I must say, due to my busy work schedule, even though I knew this was coming, I haven't prepared a fucking thing. But that won't stop me. It's going to be simple 8 rounds, scores out of 10, but if I feel I want to add any curveballs in along the way, I will.
Here's the link from my last roulette;
https://www.dreamtheaterforums.org/boards/index.php?topic=46782.0The banned list I will have to go back through, but it pretty much stands. I'll try and add any glaring omissions but should be pretty on point.
Here's one important thing to note;
In the year themed rounds, just because a band is on my banned list, doesn't mean an album from that artist from the year is banned if it's not on the list of albums. A lot of bands I've lost track of that I know have released new stuff, I just never got around to checking it out.

Now, I encourage newer stuff throughout the open rounds too. I'm not really in the mood for older stuff, I want newer, heavier, powerful sounding stuff that rocks. Saying that, the rounds are open, so still, anything goes, you might just surprise me. And any genre is still allowed, just be warned it may hurt you.
Scores out of 10, I will use a similar scoring system as last time, but won't go into that much detail. As I said, going to be simple. Will look for 10 participants also.
RulesNot many. No real issues with length of tracks, maybe just don't make a hait of sending 15 minute songs every round.
After two round, two participants will be eliminated, and after four rounds, another three will be eliminated. Ten moving forward to the end.

If I get more than 10, the guys that didn't get an invitation I might do like an elimination round first like last time.
I'm going to try and post a list of the albums I know from those years also to make it easier for your submissions to stop us going back and forth with any issues.
SubmissionsMy email is kadejordan@hotmail.com. You can send a file which is preferrable, but if not send a link and I can usually get a copy of the song from somewhere.
So, that'll do, I have to go to work now but am going to do my best to keep this thing moving a quickly and smoothly as possible.
