Reviewing my choices for 2017 and 2018... these two rounds will probably be my downfall. I've got some AOR for 2018 which isn't banned, and some metal for 2017 which is probably banned but not on the list, but the songs aren't exceptionally great or anything.

Since we all know the band we are talking about, just to give you an indication of my exposure to them, I remember I think Brent and Tim pimping them big time.  Not sure if they were pimping this album or the one from a few years ago, but I'd assume it's the 2016 one.  This is one of those bands where I have heard through an album, enjoyed it but for some reason never went back to them.  As for the 2016 album, I'm quite confident I've never heard anthing from it.  Had a spin of the track and it's not familiar at all.  There is quite a lot of these sorts of albums and bands that I'm sure will pop up that's not on my banned list. 

I wish I had more time to go through every year with a fine tooth comb but I don't have the time.  I do feel bad if you guys are discussing what would be banned and what wouldn't be, as that's all fault on my part.  The next two years, I'll make sure I'll go through again and add anything earlier that wouldn't be accepted to avoid stuffing you guys around.  You guys are the ones doing a favour for me, so want to make it as pain free and enjoyable as possible.  Probably not a big deal all that but that's just the perfectionist in me.

And don't worry about the banned lists - you're bound to miss some of the albums and bands anyway. Any roulette host, perfectionist or not, will tell you that. You may even not know the album, but reject the song because you somehow have heard it before (I'm often checking some songs sent in roulettes by other participants). There's really no way to include everything in the banned list.
