Glad you like the song, it's the shortest one on the album so that's one reason why I sent it. I don't think the structure is that weird, considering it's a bit of a change-up compared to some other songs on the record.

lowdz - Ram - Return of the Iron Tyrant

This sounds a lot older than what it is, and this is more like it from you Paul.  This is as cool as it was on the first listen as it was on the 10th or 15th.  No bullshit, classic sounding metal.  Can't get over that this is from 2015.  There's not much to say on this one, it's pretty meat and potatoes, what you see is what you get style of metal, but it's metal I like.  I guess the only thing compared to some of the others is that it probably wouldn't have the replay value as some of the others.  But a great song, great tones, powerful riffs and ripping vox.

I could have sworm Kamelot was on my banned list.  At first the blatant Kamelot influence and Karma riff rip off kind of turned me off.  But with more listens I realized I didn't really give a fuck and that this was a good song. I haven't really liked what Kamelot have done since Roy left so might as well enjoy this then.  The prologue is obviously the same dude on VP's last ones and is an over dramatic but cool enough intro.  The chorus melody of the main song is fantastic and everything keeps your attention here.  No solo until some ad lib until the end seems foreign to me, but to be fair, I didn't even notice until quite a few listens in.  Nothing new here, but a good song and hopefully the rest of the album can keep up the melody.

I kinda meant that apparently your score is slightly less better (8.6 instead of 8.7). All good though!

Regarding Wind Rose, yeah, that's about what I expected. There are better songs on the album, I think, but I felt you would appreciate that one more. 8.0 is fine, even though I know I won't be able to catch Brent or anyone who has more than 18 points.

I may actually try to sneak another 'Kamelot' song in for this round.

I didn't even notice that I got gypped for a 10th of a point... I just figured that Paul's score was off when the order of the results/summary went Luoto at 8.7, me at 8.6, and Lowdz at 8.7.  Something smelled off.

Just listening to the top 5, and I'm glad Leather Heart got such a high score - killer track.
