Omni was the first thing I checked when he posted the 2018 albums. :).

He's listened to more 2018 albums than me so I was lucky that what I did send isn't banned.  He won't like it though, so I'll be stopping by Stadler's again for sure. :)

I'm back lads.  Enjoyed a few days away with the head out of the workspace and feels good, although it's made it so much harder to go back now.  I'm so invested in work, it was good to be able to get away and not worry like I do day in day out which I didn't think I'd succesfully do, but yeah, sitting here 9pm going back first thing tomorrow morning is harder than what it should be.  Has me questioning what I'm doing yet again and if it's worth the time and sacrifice doing my role.

Sounds like things ran while I wasn't there, but with staff shortages and a government run business where we can only employ casuals, I'm the only supervisor at the moment due to other issues, so things just had to run and hope for the best.  Going straight back into, rosters, timesheets, emails, bookings, maintenance etc. that's been left for me as no one else is around that can do it, had to plan my few days off around where the roster falls and pay cycle which is shit and is pressure I don't really like coming back from a nice few days away.

Oh well, I don't know why I wrote all that, you guys don't want to know that shit, but downloading some tracks now and will be tomorrow too, and listening will commence ASAP.  I've missed this place too.  :metal

  • The changing of the worrd is inevitabre!!!
This place has been kinda slow lately (and I don't mean just this thread).  Clearly you're to blame.  :D

Glad you got some time to yourself to decompress.  Coming back to a pile of work that's just been left for your return is always shit though.
Can you imagine some alien race comes to a large nebula they've never seen before, and it just turns out it's the Federation's dumping ground for space-smile?
And TAC can suck it , this is heavy in all the right places.  :tup

I noticed there hasn't seemed to be too much chatter over the last few days.  I'm honoured to cop the blame for that one though if I have to.  ;D

Yeah, fuck work, fuck the man too.

That was my first reaction too.   :omg:

Although, at least Rich doesn't disappoint.   ;)

Time to let the cat out of the bag... I don't have anything even remotely good for this round. I thought of sending something off Year of the Tiger, but I think Stadler got me covered there, I didn't even bother to try. So I'm sending shitty AOR instead. :lol

Expecting a 6.4 or lower.

Like to change it up once in a while.  The song won't surprise even one person, though.   :)

Jeez, that's a very low expectation.  Didn't think my scoring was that harsh!  :lol

Don't let him con you.  He's just setting your expectations low so that anything decent will actually sound very good.  Be brutally harsh with him - in fact, punish him for such underhanded and deceitful tactics.

Just waiting on Brent and Richard.

You'll have something in your inbox when you get home.

This has been the only round where I have struggled to find a track I am entirely happy with.

If it's Trillium, that's hardly much of a risk!  Though, I wouldn't consider them "prog metal".

It still could be... don't think Trillium's ever gotten mention until now.   :lol

Alloy sucked balls.  Tectonic was a pretty enjoyable listen.
